Benoît Mernier, born in Belgium in 1964, studied organ with renowned teachers and performs regularly across Europe, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. His recordings have earned prestigious awards, including the “Grand Prix de l’Académie du disque Charles Cros.” Mernier is also a composer, with works performed worldwide. He has won several international prizes and received commissions from institutions like the Koussevitzky Foundation and Palais des Beaux-Arts. Mernier is a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, titular organist at Notre-Dame au Sablon, and a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium.

Gorgeous playing. I recently found and have subscribed to this channel. I discovered Bach organ music from E. Power Biggs recordings on the Harvard University instrument , built by D.A. Flentrop in 1958. (The Holy Name Catholic Cathedral here has a 1991 Flentrop). From Chicago, U.S.A.
