    My family is planning to go to Japan for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. So this was a very helpful video on where to go in japan.

    That's pretty cool how the road is closed to vehicular traffic for five hours every Sunday there. It reminds me of the pedestrian-only streets I've been to last year when I was visiting Europe last August for a couple weeks (although the street in Ginza is only like that for five hours instead of 24/7). I'm glad to see that more places using this concept. Great job with the video!

      +Scottman895 Travel Indeed! It's almost cooler to think that cars normally drive on... so it makes it more special when its closed to pedestrians once a week.

    If you go down to the basement of Mitsukoshi around 6 PM they have a sale on all the perishable foods that they need to get rid of that day. That includes fresh sushi!! Usually there are lines of people waiting to grab the best buys but I've come away with some good stuff by using a little pushing and shoving. If all the stuff doesn't sell, further price cuts are made at 6:30 PM, 7 PM, etc. Nice to know if you're on a budget (i.e. you eat in your hotel room LOL)

    Hmmm...i missed Ginza, Tokyo occassionally goes on the weekend when i was in the US Navy stationed in Japan. I like their nice department store like Mitsukoshi, Matsuzukaya, & Matsuya. It's walking distance from Ginza going west to the Imperial Place just after Yurachucho station.

    hakuhinkan is probably one of the best toy stores other than the kiddyland and yamashmiroya

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  8 лет назад

      Agree on Kiddyland! I always visit Kiddyland when I go to Harajuku. I've never been to Yamashmiroya, I'll have to check that out next time.

    Ginza is not just the most expensive area in Japan to own real estate, but it's apparently the most expensive area to own real estate in the world.

      Hmmm... this article says Ginza is the most expensive in Japan: www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2017/07/03/business/economy-business/japans-property-prices-rise-second-year-gap-cities-rural-areas-widen/#.Wpebi6jwaUk
