Very cool farm with lots of useful concepts! With the CUD elevator at 2:01, does the detector rail detect item entities, which then updates the comparator?
great video! would building above y=63 prevent bats from getting in the string? or is a bat switch still necessary even if you build it high in the world?
I pasted the schematic into a test world, and for some reason, the dropper containing the ice shulkers isn’t releasing them into the chests. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
Hi! I built this farm using the schemetic, and unfortunately it broke several times. For starters several of the flying machines got stuck, and the pistons at the top that funnel the ice down kept getting pushed out. I used the 1.17+ in 1.20.4
hey Elyrio, i've started building this farm in my survival world but now i'm wondering if there is a trick of waterlogging al the slabs and campfires? do you just need a lot of buckets or do you first need to build a platform under the slabs since water only spreads on slabs if there is a block below? Nice work on the farm BTW, looks awesome!
Hi one question....I built a simplier farm on my single player world....ice come at 5 blocks per sec from the front in the afk postion and after some player get pushed from the ice and brake the farm...is for that, because you make ice come from side? And if is, how can I change a 8x1 ice stream easy into a 5x1?
I don't think the direction the ice comes matters for that, it's probably due to something else. Maybe there was a zombified piglin that pushed the player or something
@@Elyrio3 hi I solved, making ice coming by side and moving in front the afk spot. Yes it matter because if blocks are in movment they can be missed and if it happen they will push you on the ground. Heyo I read on the discord that the 1.17+ version isn't currently working due to a bug and we should use the 1.16+ tnt version because that version works in current game versions
Its there any way to replace the tnt duppers for something that doesnt require dupping, and something renovable, I was thinking about a wither cage but in the overworld is going to be hard
Sadly there isn't, the only other option is using withers if you have bedrock items to place, because bedrockless wither cages aren't reliable for that
Hello, so what do i do to get the farm working without a mob switch? literally just replace the string with wither skulls ?? that's it?? (I just don't know how the mechanics work)
This farm is designed to be as small as possible while staying kind of lag friendly that's why you need a mobswitch to use it If you don't want to make one I think it's gonna be simpler for you to build another design
@@eduardoflorianlb4376 yeah the blast version is safer but the wither version should work too. The schematics have been updated today so maybe try with the new one, every schem should be reliable
Hey, is it possible to spawn proof the farm? Or would doing so interfere with something? Because I'd prefer to not use a mob switch mainly because of the lag that comes with it for my weak pc 😅
@@JHak909 Ianxo4 has a very easy mobswitch I think, and the reason it's less laggy is because the mobs are in lazy chunks instead of being normally in the world
The snow roof is only there to reduce the lag so you don't need it technically. And yes this farm is not weather proof but it's a lot smaller and cheaper than fallen's
I’m sorry but I’m new with ice farming, and I don’t get it. Why is the farm not weather proof? And how does the farm even work with a roof? I though you need an open space in order to froze water. Pls explain
The farm uses better flying machines which can break if snow is forming on top of the observers, yeah you could change the flying machines to make them weather proof but the farm wouldn't be as lag friendly which was one of the main goal. And you're right you can't put blocks above the farm or it would prevent ice from forming. But snow layers and scaffoldings are among the few blocks that don't block the ice generation. And the good things is that they block light which greatly reduce the lag inside the farm (cause then there isn't any light update in the farm, it's always dark).
You said you can rotate the farm. But the rails are ascending south when they are supposed to ascend north. Any idea why. Also im in 1.20.1 but that should be the issue right?
Is this overkill 😂😂😂😂 ??? Edit : i don't remember your channel name so i search : minecraft dude that do insane project with subtitle and timelapse and you just pop up 😅
Except maybe the ice generation I don't think anything will work on bedrock sadly. Quasi-connectivity is involved in pretty much all the different parts of the farm
This is absolutely insane! And there i was thinking ice farms could not be easier!
thank you a lot! I was just looking exactly for this type of farm for my project.
That's nice to hear!
@@Elyrio3 Buenas, podrias pasar el mundo por favor, para los que no usamos mods
It was probably my fault but i built this in survival checked everything verified the schematic multiple times and it sacrificed itself to cthulhu

no
Build 5 of them in the same peri ofc to get 360k/h

Very cool farm with lots of useful concepts!

Yes exactly, the comparator is budded and gets activated when the xp arrives on top of the detector rail, it then triggers the pistons

Does a mob switch disable the xp farm or is it unaffected by the mob cap?
The xp farm still works with a mob switch of course, especially since you need a mob switch to use the farm xd
I'm wonder how the mobs affect the farm, without a mob switch
can i spawnproof the ground around instead of using a mob switch? or i need it anyways?
You can't prevent mob spawning on the ice because a high light level would break the farm, so a mobswitch is needed
