I'm often impressed with the intelligence, creativity, and ingenuity of minecrafters like you. The pig man arrow, and looting sword trick is simply genius! My jaw was on the floor for a whole minute after I realized something like that was even possible! I'm sure even the creators of minecraft would be wide-eyed after seeing this.
I always thought that Scicraft is the most advanced thing in Minecraft but damn This insane cubic metre can surpass every technical server in Minecraft. Seriously you deserve much more attention
Scicraft is more impressive because of the amount of resources they have/insane patience of some of the members. This guy is more impressive because of the scale and efficiency.
Him: i highly doubt but the most technical servers would put this much effort into a shulker farm Me and my cousin making the schematic as soon as we found the video: imma pretend i didn't hear that
I'm sure this is the best farm. I must remember Cubicmetre as father of shulker farm in Minecraft history. And seeing overworld design as risk management makes me so excited.
I left a comment on the other video about a single dimension farm, but I just wanted to mention that a tripwire over the tracks can detect when there is a shulker in the minecart. Maybe that can be used to simplify the build.
What if the player suddenly looses connection? The TNT will run out, so why not have a detection system to detect when no more TNT is coming in and it automatically switches to an alternative killing system.
Yeah, I was suprised to find people actually wanting to build this farm even though it is only a proof of concept and I haven't quite work out the kinks. Since this video I've made a much better shulker farm module which is 3D tilable. Meaning it is ideal for close packing in a crazy fast farm.
Proto tech is a 1.12 server, I'm not sure how they would be using the shulker breeding mechanic because it is a 1.17 feature. This farm is also performance capped so building 3 of them would lag the game to death.
Would you recommend the vertical stacking shown here or the horizontal shown previously for a smaller 4/5 module farm? I'd imagine the portal linking would be better in this way
The vertically stacked modules are much easier to build as the logic to replace shulkers tiles vertically and the shulker replacement is very simple and fast because we are using gravity to do the work.
I currently have a shulker reactor farm currently, and it's pretty great... But 1 module is quite slow. (It takes a about half a day to fill a shulker full of shells. Which I ran out constantly due to my farms) So while working on my wither skeleton farm perimeter... I thought to myself to either build a 4 module shulker reactor (since hostile mob cap is 70) and just space them out. (Around 4-5k shells/hr) Or build this and get 56k shells/hr
Its cool how block game where you can walk open doors fight mobs you can also make complex setups that has scientific like reasearch and littelary working computers will just take few years to make computer in minecraft that has same stats and average current computer
Thank you very much! I don't know if I made any kind of mistake while building but I have this rare issue that shulker bullets accumulate outside of the farm with no limit, left it 15hs and there was around 11k bullets hanging around. I checked and couldn't see any missing button or teleport proofing anywhere. Did you get any comment about this issue before? How could I solve it?
Actually, the shulkers already contained in the farm would be enough for a single-player mob switch, and since they don't need to be entity loaded, a single extra chunk loader could make this a functional mob switch for singleplayer.
the problem is that those shulker are quite laggy, so unless you need all those shulkers at all costs I'd suggest you to make a separate contraption where shulkers are loaded in a not entity ticking chunk. Those impact basically 0 on performance, they are just a number in the code.
hey cubic i was going to build the mother of all shulker farms in my survival world and have everything i need but then realised i some how forgot about the storage system and have no idea where to go about building one that wont waste any shells and was hoping you might have built one in the past or know where one might be, thanks for the great farm.
I don't understand redstone very much. But I would love to build the portal based farm (one module). Please upload a tutorial for it like the one you uploaded of the single dimension farm.
For the 5 module one, how many snow golems are needed? And how do you get the ten minecarts in at the top? I get 7 in and then they all collide and stop moving
I agree the stacked carts are kinda tricky, break a rail at the end stop, place a slab, place down the carts behind the slab then quickly replace the slab with a powered rail. I will look into upgrading this design soon.
Yes the farm will work fine without the glass cage. It was just a precaution I added in case people would accidentally fly into the farm while its running.
Steps to building this farm Step 1. Afk perimeter machine overnight Step 2. Spend 10 hours to gather materials Step 3. Build all portals on first layer Step 4. Realize you built it in a dessert biome Step 5. Make new perimeter Step 6. Finish building Step 7. Run farm for an 30 min Step 8. Never use again
56,800 shells per hour, if crafted into shulkers we are producing 49 million items worth of storage capacity per hour. I can see a shulker farm with this rate being built for one (or more) of these 3 reasons: 1- You want a farm that you only need to run for a few hours in order to be able to get hundreds or even thousands of hours worth of runtime of other farms that you will use the shulkers for. Pretty much like the duping method, you dupe a shit ton at once so you only have to do it again in years. 2- You might not need a 56k/h farm, but the effort to build it that big isnt much higher than it would be to make some lower rates farms, so why not? It’s a fun project 3- This is similar to the first reason tbh. But shulker farms can be quite laggy and probably not pratical to run at the same time as a lot of other contraptions so you might want an insanely fast one so you can run for a week and it will supply you with 4.7 million shulkers (8.2 billion items worth of storage) which will be enough for a very long time
some technical servers who played before 1.17 duped/respawned shulkers and played with stackable shulker boxes, which the other on could not really meet the rates for
So how many snow golems in each module (for 5 module design if that matteres somehow)? From the litematinca, there are around 23 golems in the first module but only 6 in the rest. Also, the vines are there so i'd suspect there being more than 23 golems (cram limit) but that doesn't appear to be the case unless litematica just doesn't paste them all in
The vines just reduce lag overall while the exact number of golems isn't all that important, I found that 6 golems works well however if you add more it will improve the farm logarithmically, meaning the more golems you add, the better it will run however the improvement diminishes as you add more golems.
@@cubicmetre thank you, the farm now works perfectly. Not that i need this farm, it'll just be fun having shulker box loaders under every single farm. Plus, I'd rather spend 1 week building a farm and afk for 1 hour than build for 1 day and afk for 1 day so this is perfect. Thank you so much for making this
Since I don't need the mother version for now I wanted to build the 5 module farm in my world. Therefore I tested it in creative to add a storage system but I had a problem linking the portals. Could you please explain how to link them to the nether part?
Can this farm be used with a single player (the one placing the TNT in the nether)? I know the fact that there are entities going into the portal can keep the OW chunks loaded, but I'm not sure if my understanding is correct of that specific mechanic.
Yes the farm operates with only a single player in the nether, in fact it is detrimental to have players on the overworld side because if the nether portals of the breeders are in random tick range the farm will spawn enormous amounts of zombie pigmen which could lag the game really badly to the point that the farm is unusable.
