Great tutorial! I took your advice, and paused right at the beginning, went away for 45 minutes to an hour, and transcribed the intro. Well worth it, especially when I picked up on some of the VERY subtle notes. I think I missed out one or two that I picked up after watching this video, but no howling mistakes, only difference was I played the second note of the intro on the B string instead. Thanks again!

  • @larrygeetar9309

Great lesson, Justin, as usual. This solo is not so much about what notes are
played, but HOW they are played. And not played, too, as he uses the space
between notes to enhance the feeling of it. Beautiful guitar playing by P.G.

  • @barthvapour

Amazing how 90% of this solo just uses three fret positions... It's when you add the bends and dynamics that Peter Green was a master of that it comes to life.

Man I feel proud of my self as I had managed to transcribe it myself and it has worked out to look identical to the way you do it and in the same places on the guitar.... maybe to some people it would be easy to work out but i'm just chuffed to have do it myself : ) I'm glad you mentioned to people transcribe it themselves.

  • @effzee

great as usual, Jason, thank you! You could have mentioned that it's based around the D shape (because those shapes help me IMMENSLY, and maybe some other viewers/players would benefit as well?)

Hi Justin Peter green is my ultimate favourite guitarist and you have just given me an insight to his playing technique thank you so much. Please can you tell me where I can purchase the backing music so I can play along to this. I have only been playing for a short time and picked it up quite fast including your police version of every breath you take. best wishes and please more blues. Andy

Justin you are a superb guitarist and a talented teacher. I've been playing amatuer guitar for thirty years and am still learning thanks to you. I have subscribed to your lessons but as yet have not donated any money. You certainly deserve to be paid for what you do, how do I donate? Again thanks for sharing your talent and friendly approach.
