We watched your video and we were successful Your safety strap with a 2x4 worked brilliantly. We were able to pull a huge established hive . What a great learning experience. Thank you Thank you from NJ USA
Thank you for this! I have a wine barrel on my 2nd story patio and I wasn't sure it was even possible to save the barrel. It's also apparent I'll need a professional. Main goal is to relocate and save the bees. I have some hope now.
thanks for posting. Very cool hive! One thing you might consider is making your videos no longer than 4 min. Not many people will hang for 30 min. 3 to 5 min is about tops. Good luck!
I have bees in my wine barrel, but have no one to remove them as I'm way out in the sticks. They are not bothering me, but my question is what happens if I just leave them ? Will they continue to build in the barrel ?
This video explained exactly what I needed to do. Thank you so much.

Your Welcome,
thanks have one to do this weekend
How did you go getting the barrel back together?
Replace the Side Rings and Rivets, add the End (Lid) add the Final Ring and Rivets. Wet Barrel so it swells 'tight'. Done. 😉

Yes, they will probably stay just as they would in an old tree.
