Wow nothing is quite as beautiful as a new oak barrel! Especially the way you handle it very impressive!

you make it look easier than it is. We are struggling with 50year old barrels... i guess the loosening of the 3rd ring makes the lid come off?

Excellent video! by chance, where did you get the barrel bumper tool used in this video? I am involved in a barrel aging project in Atlanta GA, with SweetWater Brewing Company and are looking for advice and materials to use for barrel maintenance. Thank you!

Hey Chris, you can make one out of 3/4" pipe, one 3' length and one 1' length connected with an elbow. It's not perfect but it works. We're in the process of getting one on our online store but we're still working out the details. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email heather@barrelbuilders.com

You have made this comment on several videos. You would be more acurate if you said, "I can't make this work."

@@Carnie74 Decades of practice tend to help a lot with difficult physical skills. If it doesn't work for regular people (ie me at home with my two rain barrels and no specialty barrel tools), it's kind of helpful to know that.
