This is has a kind of old-school sound but is still fresh at the same time. Very good.
I love this album. The year may be 2021 but the sound looks much much older. I mean it in a good way, it sounds so authentic.

To a degree - but this is much more reminiscent of 'UK Decay' - Bauhaus contemporaries, from Luton (just down the road from Northampton) and more punk. If you like Bauhaus, UK Decay are a must listen cult band.

this is so post punky. If this was made in the 80s, it would have been regarded as a classic, and the band would've gone down in history, just like sisters of mercy or joy division.
Nah there's a bunch of good Post-Punk bands from the 80s that are not famous yet, this band would just be another one among those. They're still awesome though.

I can't say that I found this compelling enough to listen to again, but major props to this band for, between the album's sound, production, and artwork (plus the fact that this is on a cassette) really nailing the feel of something that would have come out in the 80's.

Fucking great - this is proper Goth. In the UK Decay tradition. None of that flouncing about like Wayne Hussey.
This is oldschool goth/deathrock. Wayne Hussey is more like 90's gothic-rock, something different but also goth.

Honestly yeah, I mean if the vocals were more up front it would really add some punch. In my opinion, anyway.

My main grudge with modern music is that the vocals are usually produced overly clear, with almost unmusical presence and often way too up front,
like they're singing right in your face ...but this way it really isn't better.
