In recent years, I found this game pretty easy... and then you get to 4-2 which is an auto scroller. An absolutely SADISTIC auto scroller. It's 20 times harder than any level in the game. And it's made artificially harder by the fact that you can't find any of the stronger weapons in level 4-1 onwards. Joker is pretty hard too and he may sap the last of your lives, sending you back to 4-1.
