Just going to throw out an unpopular opinion. If price appreciation is the reason for ROI on the AL2 and not actual yield then buying the coin still makes a lot more sense than buying one of these. The current projected ROI is 6.5 months at $1299. We can safely assume that will be closer to 10 months in reality if not much longer, but even at 10 months the bull run is basically coming to an end at that point. Definitely beyond the point where I would still be holding anyways. The Elephant in the room is that big bad Bitmain can throw out a better miner somewhere in the middle of all that, likely around spring and ruin the whole party. I was tempted for a second but I’m gonna sit this one out. It isn’t that this thing doesn’t make bank, it’s that I can make more bank not buying it. Now if you buy it as a space heater for winter then maybe I could see it, otherwise hard pass for me, lol.
Definitely not an unpopular opinion , 100 % makes sense to buy the coin , anything Im mining im usually also buying on dips , especially these lower marketcap coins. Think the appeal would be the hardware arbitrage opportunity if price goes up in short term. I'm going in , but just to lower the cost basis of the others , but fully knowing bitmain is likely to react aggressively here and may do something drastic which is why I'm likely buying just one and kind of waiting to see not only how bitmain reacts just the market in general. Alph for me is one that I started accruing years so hard to even buy at this current price , but will be mining it , unless we get some 2023 or lower prices. But the acceleration of these hardware releases is not sustainable , does seem like something will break if prices don't keep up , sentiment is definitely low right now.
if you are not using them to get heat and money from your free energy you are laundering money, only logic that makes sense only a fool would do this to earn money from the machine but money in the bank is also worth alot
The problem is, if you order one today 25th September, and they are not shipping until mid-late October, I dread to think how much more hash will be online by then & also if ALPH holds it's price.
That's literally the bet, but at this point it's even beating the already aggressively priced AL3 which just decimated the AL1. Essentially betting on alph price action, if it stays but then, still not a bad deal, but if uptober does start, then prices likely to go up as they just rekt the competition pretty badly here.

@@ProfilaktiskasLT just depends on your situation. I value my ROI times/goals based on the entirety of my farm and not just trying to ROI a single unit , so for example I can take two weeks of yield/profit from my other rigs and that pays off one Al2 and just continue to grow by essentially paying for it with all the other units that have paid themselves off. Potentially profitable miners with low power make it even more appealing as they have less overhead and allow me to continue stacking in case some of the larger rigs become unprofitable if the market goes sideways/down.
As much as I want to diversify away from only Kaspa, I find Alph miners still way overpriced. I'm rather going for a KS5 Pro and stack more Kaspa. I'll consider getting into Alph and RXD miners when prices are cut it half from where they are now.
That's probably the better play, sentiment being so low and the hashrate already being so high things may stabilize for a bit. Kas rewards are still also elevated from krc-20 which is extremely surprising also. Think it's also way too likely bitmain responds aggressively here and lowers things further for the bigger guys , just depends on what alph does these next few months. Very risky/turbulent times.
Got the notice of these from my reseller a few hours ago. The AL2 is intriguing, but I'm not sure I get the KS2 Lite. It's 2Th/s, which is nice, and the price is good at $470 as compared to other home miners, but it doesn't make sense when you can get a KS5 20T for $2k. Maybe if you don't have power for a big boy miner?
Agree 💯, the big units are just so cheap already , but for someone who wants to solo , or mine some of the other kheavyhash coins , could make sense , but the appeal for me is definitely the alph unit.
Little pissed that I spent just under 2k on the alo boxes and now I'm spending over half that to get almost 3x the hash and not even close to making money back yet. Guess it's an addiction 😂
I wondered what the hell was going on, because NHASH has been aggressively lowering their KAS prices the last couple of days. I see what you mean by lowering your $/hash, but having 4x AL0s online for just 2 weeks is now a kick in the pants. We have a year more of this coming.
Yeah saw the price reduction the other day on the kas echo unit went down to 1299 , makes sense now. It definitely is , the bet is now on alph's price action , if the market goes up these next few months timing can still work, but if continues sideways expect more drops potentially as yield reduces, makes it real tricky.
As long as there is demand for those KAS and ALPH miners, they will create new and people still buy. but this is not a good investment as today, the trains already gone and people are still chasing. there is much better miners with less volatility, like L7 L9, L7 price was same for like 2 years, and the profits are almost stays the same..
Agree with that , problem still exists in a way because of the price , kind of makes you hesitant with a current price tag of 11k when you know there are preorders for 3 months out bringing it to half. But agree , it's a much more stable/mature network , the problem is everyone gets blinded by current profitability and don't look at long term stacking potential .

In my case , I grow from within my existing Asics/hardware and I don't try and "ROI" one individual unit, I view my whole farm as my revenue stream . If I was worried about it, I can pay each unit off in a week from existing profits from the entire farm, which is how I continue to grow without putting in additional capital. The risk taking has allowed me to grow to what it is now from just rolling over the profits into continued hardware. Some work out better than others , but just continues to grow. My main appeal with these guys is the low power use, where in case the big guys become unprofitable, this allows me to unplug those guys , but continue to stack with these. This is why the al0's are appealing , why the al2's are appealing and why the DePin projects have been so appealing. But again , this isn't for everyone , all I can attest to is my strategy of growing that literally started from a single 1660 super GPU nearly four years ago , that has slowly scaled into what this is now from taking on some of these risks.

Now they just need to go for Jingle Mining
Jingle mining needs to fix their shipping prices , prices look appealing and then seeing a 3-400 dollar shipping is not the business. NHASH has it listed at 1299 shipped already, link in the pinned comment
They actually just cut their own AL3 to $10,900 😂
I just saw after I posted , still doesn't make sense as it's just cheaper to buy the little boxes. Wouldn't be surprised to see them lower again before it even ships.
It's getting stupid, there's a new ASIC every two weeks.... the big winners are the manufacturers and we miners are idiots because we have little chance of making these ASICS profitable.
It's getting to the point where something has to give , think the burnout is here.
$150 shipping to the UK 🥲
From Iceriver direct yes, check pinned comment NHASH has it 1299 shipped.
