43:02when he is turning to main road he put 1st gear after he gone for 2second and after he gone for 4th LOL 😂😂😂😂😂 Till 43:16 pretending changing gears but still in same gear or something 😂😂😂
Great video, im due to sit my part 2 soon so these are very helpful. Big thanks to Abdul too. Like others have said, i found myself shouting out “get your neck round, look out the back window!’ When he was reversing. Lol. I sympathise with the gearing, ive had an auto for the past 5 years…..im struggling at times too! Great drive though, and thanks again. Very helpful.
Thank you for the comments it will all help towards taking my test. Making slight corrections will hopefully result in a pass Thanks Howard for recording the mock test
Why can’t you pull through a bay to forward park? Surely the benefits outweigh any negatives! If during the test the examiner wanted to see a forward bay park they will specify this (don’t drive through the bays) as it is part of the test to see the candidate reverse out.
Car park easily done but you did give a clue by saying the first available left turn. And coming off left then needing to go over 3 lanes, I don't think I would of done it any differently to Abdul. If he doesn't know the area I think that was harsh.
Thanks for watching. Part 2 examiners will fault it for not planning and making progress.. Learners would not get a fault as long as they do it safely.
Having just passed my part 2. Whilst feeling sorry for Abdul, from Howards perspective, HE IS the examiner on this occasion & the clue was there the "next available left...". The fact that Howard had to give the verbal instruction could of gone down as examiner took action (verbal intervention) I think? the biggest heads up I could give to anyone is to try your best to relax and treat it like a drive (by the time your sitting mocks the hard work is done!) Be very aware of speed limits! Do NOT in any circumstance exceed them or pre-empt i.e. from 30 going into 40 increasing to 30+ before the standalone. or vice versa any speed into the new limit ensure your speed is down before the standalone. Simply as it is immediate fail as a serious fault! (if noted and examiners do not miss a trick!). @How-2-Drive could you do some videos on differences between nursery routes and intermediate etc. please?
on my part 2. examiner told me to turn right at roundabout. I asked, 3rd exit? lol, she said yes. yeh i was dreading the speed limits, as area I was in kept changing from 20-30 and vice versa so quick. I also learned that to never speed up before getting past the higher speed limit sign. i passed. got 2 faults for indicating late when leaving motorway. was clueless about the countdown markers. 3rd fault for poor control during parallel park.
Abdul reversed two car lengths on the mirrors!!! A dangerous fault methinks to add to the several others before moving off. See my other comment below about these blindspot checks missing. Personally I think the part 2 test standard is too restrictive in some areas, as I think Abdul is safe overall. One reason I left instructing. That handbrake ratchet drove me up the wall though! Paul Manning, ex-instructor, trainee. And budding Smart-Arse.
Enjoyed the Part 2 Drive. Any thoughts on the "Steer and Gear" which happened a few times, with Abs changing gear whilst turning corners/ roundabout. Would this be considered a fault in Part 2 drive? Have seen a few different opinions from instructors on this topic. Look forward to next video.
Good point. The DT1 and ADI1 examiner guidance docs would say no fault. As long as the steering is smooth and accurate and full control is maintained. Crossing hands, one handed steering are not regarded as a fault. The outcome is more important than the method. Best practice however is always worth a mention. If it reduces risk, wear and tear, driver fatigue then encourage best practice..
What about not looking through the rear window when reversing? I’m led to believe you should look in the direction you’re going. Also the 6 point check when pulling away? Good effort tho Abdul
You’re not wrong Joanne,! All round effective observations are a must. I’ll need to take another look, at the time I deemed Ads observations to be fine, now you’ve got be thinking. Thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for this Howard, Love your very helpful vids :-). Abdul stopped in a cycle lane?! He didn't finish by looking out of rear window on reverse bay park. The gear lever noise would drive me a bit nuts, I'd have to have asked him to stop that!
Thanks Justin If the cycle Lane has a broken line, can we stop in it? Ah, do you mean the handbrake ratchet click. This is not a driving fault. Some car manufacturers such as Audi and Ford say allow it to tighten on ratchet. Personally I’d hold the button in tho!
Completely fair marking, especially giving the serious fault, your route directions were crystal clear and well timed, just Abdul needs to work on his understanding of road markings.
Yes Howard I initially thought dangerous fault no entry no sign car-park harsh, I changed my tune, slow speed, easy observe paint. Genuine error but quick easy fail, what a shame, thank god not a real test and a mock as in pandemic it would be test end as soon as started
@@How-2-drive Yes Howie (Howard) ; I saw your slurring vocal slow down, rhetoric was pronounced slooowwwww. I know what went wrong here !!! NERVES !!! Repeated, SEVERAL TIMES IN FACT, Dangerous Fault. Mirror, signal, handbrake off, then R blindspot. Then move off. i.e. Blindspot checked whilst moving off. Abdul makes a repeated habit of this, it`s obviously an ingrained bad habit that he`s got into over the years. Of being a Class One Police Driver methinks, hence the excellent good progress on the country road. Correct me please if I`m wrong. (Paul Manning, ex trainee driving instructor, i.e. Part 2 passed.)
Hello, can I use my own car ( modern Nissan Qashqai that has 360 degree cameras) while giving my part 2 test?? I don't have to look all the mirrors while reversing, I only have to see reversing cameras in my dash board of car. can I use this type of car for my part 2 test??
what about abs overtaking cyclist crossing white line into path of on coming vehicles without signal as would a signal not benefit other road users would this be considered faults
I am pretty sure Abdul was constantly skipping to check the interior mirror, also when moving off didn't check the blind spot. Another thing would be using handbrake when stopping just for a few seconds (he did that on one or two occasions) which I had on my mock test marked as a minor. My ADI part 2 is next Tuesday, finally after many months of postponing due to Covid..
i asked my trainer about using handbrake for short time. he said you don't get a fault if you use handbrake for short time. I passed my part 2 the other day.
@@32kri well I wish you all the best bud. Was able to pass it and 3 lessons into part 3 and struggling to get to grips with actually teaching lol. We will get there in the end.
@@craig291086 hi Craig, finally passed my part 2 last week.. Are you planning to start trainee licence? I found franchise at my school is very expensive (over £ 230 per week) plus fuel cost it rounds to nearly £300. So my concern is once we got into franchise, school might not be able/keen to provide enough students to pay off the expenses and make some profit on top of it..What are you plans? Thanks for your reply and sorry I ve been late with mine.. Regards Krzysztof

At the beginning blind spotting when moving, at the end you can’t forward park through 2 bays so you can drive out forward facing
