I've seen New York. I've seen Los Angeles. Put those two together and you get the scale of Sao Paulo from the air. Big ass megalopolis. I like both airports in SP. They have really good sushi at Guarulhos airport. Food at Congonhas was not as good, but the dense urban feel was interesting and the landing was like an aircraft carrier with those short runways. Curitiba landings can be impressive (scary) depending on wind direction when they fly next to those tall buildings on approach.
I recall flying into Sao Paulo, at night some years ago from Paraguay, seeing all the lights of Sao Paulo, from above, quite something to see. I'm from England,U.K. Peace to all.

My constructive comment to you, if you plan to use this as a "real" Sao Paulo birds eye, don't, look here in U Tube for landings into Congonhas Airport, the downtown airport that truly shows the dynamic Sao Paulo scene. This video you just saw shows a flight coming into Guarulhos or Cumbica Airport which is the International airport really outside the city, like JFK in New York outside, La Guardia, in town, or Chicago O'Hare out, Midway in, I hope it helps you, reagrds from Chicago KORD.
Impressive, but the landing was at Guarulhos International Airport, which is on the northern fringe of São Paulo's urban area. So, what you see is mostly distant and less dense northern dormitory suburbs (though the downtown of the neighbouring city of Guarulhos appears at about 7 minutes). At 4 a.m. there is also little traffic on the streets. An evening landing at smaller, domestic Congonhas Airport, right in the middle of São Paulo's city core, is much more impressive. Search for "pouso noturno Congonhas" and you can see some examples.
I'm sorry, but this is São Paulo. The video is showing the approach from west and I think only the last 30 seconds of the landing is Guarulhos. In addition, Guarulhos is part of the "Grande São Paulo".
Guarulhos is part of greater Sao Paulo. What you see in the video is the northern part of the biggest city in the southern hemisphere. What you see IS Sao Paulo.
