Mentally prepping myself for a day of chaos, and then…..I’m listening to this absolute masterpiece…..14 minutes after you post it in the U.K. God bless the internet and God bless Peter Spiker.
10:47 am. I am sitting in front of a screen with my earphones mentally preparing for my driving school exam in Irkutsk, South-East part of Siberia. Suddenly I've found this cover and thrill has changed to calm. It feels so peacful. It's amazing how powerful and borderless music is.
@@stgmt61172:24pm EST Greenville, South Carolina USA. Sitting in my driveway in my car after having run some errands, listening to this masterpiece before I head inside. Music knows no borders. Love to you all.
i never comment on videos, but you deserve all the praise. normally i'd see a cover like yours and go like "yeah nice", watch 20 seconds and then move on. But your arrangements are somethig different, your voice is amazing. i watch ever video to the end.
This one has to be one of their most difficult, no? And of course, here you go just playing and belting it out like it was Jingle Bells. 😂😂😂😂 Well done!!
Oui! The reason I hadn’t done Schism earlier is a combination of making some decisions re: arrangement and playing it enough so the triplets weren’t too sloppy.
The duality between agility and ability is striking. Good sir, your skills truly surpass most others. What stands out to me is your remarkable talent to separate and blend all the vocal melodies and guitar riffs seamlessly. There is a reason that these tool songs are performed by multiple musicians live, but you have a special ability to do it as one. The precision and passion in your one-take renditions bring the song to life in a way that is captivating.
Found you on a whim after desperately searching for decent TOOL covers a few weeks ago. Your videos views were so low I never reached you before I gave up on decent covers besides 2 artists I already followed (jackson sterling and brass against). Damn I'm glad to have watched and then binge watched all of your TOOL covers. I also have to say, you have an insanely uncanny resemblance to my husband circa 10 years ago. It is bizarre and I stumbled upon you while high, so I doubted myself until many videos later. Said husband is flattered that I find his lookalike to be quite handsome. All that to say you've acquired a fan (plus .5 as I'm trying to force my husband to listen to more of your music) and I would pay money to support you and see you live. Rock on!!
Oh hell yeah. Phenomenal work as always - the sound is somehow pristine and organic at the same time, can't imagine how much work went into this one. Fingers crossed they play it tonight! That being said - you set a pretty high bar for grandpa Maynard to reach 😉
Well, the concert was an awesome, fantastic experience, and they played Schism, but my banter proved prescient: the sound quality was really bad and Maynard's voice was not in great shape. Still a great show though!
Hello from Italy! You are simply amazing. Your voice is perfect for Tool and APC songs. I don’t know how can you sing and playing guitar without mistakes. Well done 👏 ❤
Love it, Peter! ❤ I’ll have you know you made me buy two new guitars yesterday; a Yamaha AC1R and a Martin DXME 😂 so now all I have to do is practice every day until I become as good as you 😆
Total longshot but if you ever covered Trashcan Sinatras I’d be your biggest fan for life! I think your voice actually sounds a lot like their lead singer. Would be awesome!
Dude, you're actually making me want to go for the guitar and just start playing, so that i can dream of reaching that level. Your arrangements are pretty fucking amazing. Congrats, man! Cheers from Brazil!!
Thanks! About three takes but definitely a lot time spent practicing, as much as I’ve ever practiced a cover. Although there’s one coming soon that I’ve been working on for months…🤘
This is no easy song to sing and play. Amazing job. Quick question how many takes did this take? Lol great job Edit: my only critic unless yourvoice is that clear the filter your using is too clear it’s good to hear the imperfections. And if you don’t like the sound atleast mix the raw vocals with the filter
@@peterspiker9960 i was wondering how you with that triplet there, then i realized you were using the open D string instead of rolling 3-5 on the A. Sounds really great

Tool are going to have to release a new album so they can keep up with you. Love it
😄 whatever spurs them on…

Beautiful cover, as always.
Wish you could do some tutorials man!
Keep it up 🤘
this is stunning bro.
Thanks mate!
This is good
Peter man you are killing me!! You've got to start adding your tuning in the details.
Drop D, and then all strings down another semitone
Congrats on playing and singing that at the same time
Killing it boss!
Smashed it
Awesome amazing independence and accuracy
Epic mate!
GODLIKE
I love playing this song on bass! Good job! Could you cover “No Angel” by Puscifer? An acoustic version would rock socks! 🤙
Cheers! I’ll have a listen to No Angel and see.
Great way to start the day
YESSS BRUH YEEEESSSS 🤘🔥🪬
It's just as good as I thought it would be.

Excellent stuff! Can you please make your arrangement tablatures available?
Thanks! I don’t use tabs though, sorry!

Superb cover. I am stunned and really enjoy all your tool covers! Where can i find the tabs that u use ? Btw you should do live shows !
Cheers! Glad to hear it. I don’t use tabs though, I enjoy working out how they go myself.
So yes!
Do you have a plans to create tabs for the paid subscription or somehow?
Not really, to be honest. I don’t have a paid thingy anyway. I might one day do some tutorials if people want them for specific videos.
Mad. I wanna know how to do that
Blue A perfect Circle next ????? PLEASE
I’ve had a little go at Blue, I need longer to work out how to arrange it.
Could you cover Invincible? It’s one of my favorite Tool songs.
He's coverd it already...check his tool playlist on his channel

Unbelievably impressive! How many takes did it take? And how many hours of practice before that?

Hmm, I’m not sure what you mean by filter? There’s reverb on there and some compression I think?
Are you in standard tuning for this? Looks like you may have changed it but I can’t tell for sure
Nah it’s still d tuned, but C#, technically.
