I wonder if the Z4 and the Supra would become the most reliable BMW & the least reliable Toyota respectively.
B58s have been slowly going up as BMW's most reliable i6 since the M50
Just take the Supra, why bother with the Z4. Just love the design of the Supra a lot more. The Z4 is tedious for my taste (F87 Owner, ex 1M Coupe owner, E46 M3 Manual fan - when in US).

Looks like you commented before you watched even 30secs of the video. The presenter states the comparison is about the price point. Believe it or not, people use money to buy things, so comparing what you can get for your money is often a worthwhile angle to take

For God's sake, the platform is not BMW's, it was a co-develped platform to be bespoke for both cars. If there was not joint venture, the chassis would not exist since it had both Toyota's and BMW's respective inputs.

Toyota didn’t do anything to the chassis, it’s all BS.. Toyota paid them to do the job. BMW would never tell a brand like Toyota how to make car handle lol. Toyota took the same chassis and platform from BMW, Toyota did the interior some tech and obviously the design. Engine/transmission/drivetrain or chassis was all BMW development, the Supra would be in BMW M head quarters while testing. Toyota Supras were found in BMWs garages and outside they’re testing areas. You would never see Toyota behind this at all nearly
@@aidenp5768 no no they didn't. BMW and Toyota did their separate tuning to both cars. Mk5 is faster,stiffer,and has closer gears. BMW gave them the parts and moved on while Toyotas doing their own thing with the mk5. Compare what toyota is trying/planning to do to the mk5 vs what BMW is trying to do with the Z4.

You think Toyota actually tuned it? Why would they try perfect a beautiful chassis like BMW? Toyota did nothing and they tell people they did. It’s a cover up and it’s music for the fans to hear obviously, it’s 2020 brands lie for emission test, they’re definitely lying about who did what with this project lol, and it’s Toyota meaning a cheap ass brand that tries to cost cut and save as much as possible they would never even care to let BMW do the project as long as they save money.
@@aidenp5768 no no they didn't. Bmw is axing the Z4 soon while the mk5 is going to be in production for a few more years. BMW has no involvement on what Toyotas doing with the mk5 RN since they show no signs of interest with the Z4 vs Toyota planning on doing consistent updates for the mk5. Just look at how much Toyotas trying to do vs the BMW with the Z4. And if U knew what they did then were u there? Did u watch them test the car? Did u sit there and watch it pass or fail tests or emissions? Plus they specifically said they wanted it to be affordable. Not in the LC nor RCF price range since they'd be "too expensive". They know it'd be a failure if it was a fully home built car since that's just asking for failure and for it to be expensive to make and buy. They'd be pulling a full nsx if they did any of that and we know it. Near to none of the so called"fans"won't be present if your sitting there with a over 100k car that can barely hang with any of the cars in that price range.
@@aidenp5768 plus there are plenty of reviewers and articles that clearly state that Toyota tuned the chassis of the mk5 and BMW did their own with the Z4 and them even also strictly saying "we do not want the cars handling the same" specifically coming from both if them that even reviewers notice how different the 2 drive.

That doesn’t make a fucking MK5 90k.. just because people buy an MK4 for 90+k doesn’t make this new Supra that price.. an 850CSI 1995 sold for 400k recently, you think a new 2020 revised M8 will cost over 400k?? No.. it’s all marketing. M8 2020 isn’t a real 8 series and the new 2020 Supra isn’t a Supra. 8 series is now more of a 6 and the Supra is more of a modified BRZ.
How much for a Toyota ??? NO THANKS
