@TechSpurt does this xperia 5v have a dual sim tray which doubles as a sim + micro SD expansion like the Xperia 5 III when you want run two sims but lose the sd bay or just a single sim with micro SD expansion and no option to run two sims ?
Sonys marketing and overall phone quality (and pricing) over the last years have really made them hard to like. This phone has everything I'm looking for, still I'm not remotely tempted to buy it (going to wait for the Zenfone 11).
Looks good. 3.5mm headphone socket, sd card slot, support for aptx lossless... You pay more for other devices which don't even touch Sonys audio quality. Pixel is out for me because of Google's lack of interest in any sort of decent audio quality. Samsung is more expensive and doesn't give the features I use or want. Shame Sony don't just make the nwa306 into a smaller phone with the top audio.
I'm so tempted to get one of these. It has the perfect hardware for me; SD card slot, headphone jack, no hole punches or notches, good battery life. But the lack of software support is what makes me want to stick with Pixel. But when I do upgrade I will really miss the headphone jack on my 4a..
I like your honest seeming reviews and mostly how you speak. Thanks for teaching me so much British slang, I really appreciate it lol. But complicated the pro apps are not. Don't use your voice for the branch of Sony that only wants to maximize profit and poops on amateurs wanting to become pros on a very tight budget. Other than that good video, keep it up and nice pictures! Your cat reminds me of Spot. R.I.P
£849 and only 2 upgrades one of which will happen very soon, no thanks. I know that Sony always have a great camera, but i rarely use one. Better value to be found elsewhere me thinks.
Hope that Google will at last change these ugly aesthetics for the next's year 9 series, because many people hate this big transversal bar they're using since the 6 series 🤦 Please Google look at Chinese smartphones or Motorola to get inspired with awesome aesthetics ! I've changed my previous Pixel 3 last year for a green OnePlus 10 Pro only because your current Pixels line up is awful aesthetically speaking ! 🙏
The main draw for me on Sony phones is the camera button. I'm a cyclist and to be able to use a camera button instead of faffing around taking gloves off to take photos is a huge plus. Also the "light Sony" skin on top of Android is nice and there isn't too much bloatware. I'd be tempted by a Samsung as another option but it's so full of bloatware and no camera button. Xperia 5V is my next phone. Currently on Xperia 5iii and it's getting a bit long in the tooth and the fingerprint scanner has stopped working which is quite annoying.
the screen is the same size of the 5 iv right? and the size of the phone is the same? then the bezzles look only bigger because of the flat sides but are not bigger in reality or am i wrong?
What a joke, its even worse that its predecessor. As Sony user myself I have to say, it was crappy decision to buy 5 II. Now this, screen is far from producing same brightness lvls as phones for same price and the biggest insult to injury is no support after just 2 years.
Sony should step up their game to 6 years of full software support including OS. After many, many years of Xperia I went Pixel. I would come back with superior lengthy updates.
I'm using 1 ii , and I enjoy it . I don't really care about those updates, it is not like the phone will stop working once It is no longer getting them. The only worry that I have with the phone , is the battery, I feel like it runs out much quicker , I always charge my phone, sometimes even two times a day.
I honestly think sony xperia phones look the best compared to all other brands, i used to have a gold xperia x unfortunately it was run over by a car and broke and i never gor another one
for the same price, which would you choose between the Sony xperia 5 V and the zenfone 10, knowing that I am looking to have the best camera as well as the best battery life?
But can it make and receive phone calls well, how is it's signal compared to other phones? I ask because it IS a phone, not a gaming computer or camera, and playing Zelda isn't going to save a life in an emergency.
Looked Compact Phone for - Pixel 8 (Eynyos releated modem and battery issue) - ZenFone 9 & 10 (camera and SDCard issue) - S23 (ui, battery , ufs 3.1 on 128gb, 3.5jack, sdcard, camera instability issues) But seems like Xperia 5 V beats all of them on every aspect excluding taller size and thermal throttling, Just price is force us to start dietary ))
I think I'd still personally prefer the S23. I would assume that if thermal throttling happens during higher loads, then the phone would feel warmer in general use as well? The S23 has a better camera, is lighter, smaller bezels and better screen, only losing in the battery life. It's however definitely looking promising where the compact phone situation is going to.
Hi, cal you help me plz ? I can't find the shortcut icon for disabling/enabling mobile data... You know, the buttons when you swipe down. I've never had a Sony smartphone. Don't they exist on Sony phones ?
Why would it do that? Although I am not happy with the 5 V LCD panel and the price, but the fingerprint scanner is the best tested part of the Sony phone. I have my 4th Sony compact phone, the last one already for 5 years and the fingerprint sensor worked like a charm all of the time!
@@hectordavid4201I used both underscreen and capacitive fp scanners. The underscreen ones are way more accurate. 99% compared to like 40% and less when your hands are even slightly moist.
@@hectordavid4201 Just google 5 or 1 ii, iii and even iv and "fingerprint issues" and you'll see how there's a faulty part in these phones that Sony keep using. Something about wear on the powerbutton/fingeprrint that'll cause em to fail. It's very disappointing.
Been using Xperia 1 from 2020 to 2022 and Xperia 1 mk ii 2022 till now, everything still hold up fine, I do hear some cases of people losing fingerprint scanner on Xperia 5 and 1 but never from Mk ii onwards. There's a problem with Xperia 5 mk ii screen having green/pink vertical lines after 3 year but I don't see this issue with Xperia 5 mk iii so far.
Don't ask me, I'm still using the Xperia 5 II Got a kinda if it ain't broke don't fix it attitude. And why do I need to upgrade the camera when it already does the job? Wireless charging would be nice though ngl

very beautiful phone.. finally they fixed the Heating problem.. but Sony should have really really kept the 3rd Telephoto
well, compared to last years telephoto, we didn't loose anything. Since the images are so great from the main sensor...
how didn't you lose anything ??? they LiterallyRem9ved the Third Lens a Telephoto.... and No, Cropping into a sensor is called a Digital zoom and not an Opyical zoom @@zsomborszarka2616

Please compare sony xperia 1 v with google pixel 8 pro, in terms of camera, battery drain test, speed and performance, and in hand feel
I have owned an xperia device before but it's really hard when you need a fix for it in my country. Spare parts have to be ordered online and most of the technicians doesn't know how to fix sony phones. I love sony, I would own one in a heart beat but the aftersales and support is a downer.
thanks for the review. think i might get the 5 IV though
How long will this phone be safe to use ?
Does your screen look blue-greenish from the side?
Sony Xperia forever! ♥️💯
Sides bezels are way too big... they should have look to the Phone 2 to get inspired since it also has flat screen 🤷
Effing outstanding review, with a talent for comedy which would make Charlie Chaplin envious. Bloody brilliant!
Que diable!?
I am Using Xperia 1 Mark 4 ...Still pretty new no issues ...may be not for another 5 years ....
This phone has everything I'm looking for, still I'm not remotely tempted to buy it (going to wait for the Zenfone 11).
where did u get this wallpapers... i am lovin it
Great video thank you, by the way, any idea where I can buy some punds?
😯i got goosebumps when i heard a crimson colour. purple mixed with pink. issssss crimson. it sounds so cool
Is this compact like iPhone mini
I'm so tempted to get one of these. It has the perfect hardware for me; SD card slot, headphone jack, no hole punches or notches, good battery life. But the lack of software support is what makes me want to stick with Pixel. But when I do upgrade I will really miss the headphone jack on my 4a..
I love Sony's music player on here I just wish they had built in files and gallery apps that aren't google.
30 seconds into the video and I immediately subscribed 😂
sooo love it ☺️
Hello can i ask if the front camera and ultrawide has autofocus??
Waiting for Pixel 8 😊
Me too
Pixel 8/8 Pro still comes with a charging cable
Not long to wait now!
@@TechSpurt Uncle Spurt, you're killing it with your great content, Thanks a lot.
Hope that Google will at last change these ugly aesthetics for the next's year 9 series, because many people hate this big transversal bar they're using since the 6 series 🤦
Please Google look at Chinese smartphones or Motorola to get inspired with awesome aesthetics !
What about the Xperia 10 V? - currently down to £300 on Amazon
I need to give it a go!
@@TechSpurtNe me dis pas de fermer la malédiction
This vs pixel 8pro , which one recommend?
What a joke, its even worse that its predecessor. As Sony user myself I have to say, it was crappy decision to buy 5 II. Now this, screen is far from producing same brightness lvls as phones for same price and the biggest insult to injury is no support after just 2 years.
Whhaaaattttt 😢😢😢😢
Sony should step up their game to 6 years of full software support including OS. After many, many years of Xperia I went Pixel. I would come back with superior lengthy updates.
@@ViewtoloveTu sais que je déteste Android, je sors ici
I enjoy my 5 II every day. Masterpiece! Not a single problem with not having Android 13.
Sony Xperia 5v, no doubts
He could have basically refused the same script from the previous version.
Having network issues? GO reset your mobiles apn. IT should fix quite the bit including 5g reception.
Seriously, no usb cable?
I bet sony be like-hey apple our battle will be legendary
Love your reviews. But can you also include link to your wallpaper (used in the phone?? 😊
What about 10 V? Will you do it.
Out of curiosity, I assume that you mentioned before in other videos, but where do you find all those wallpapers? they look dope!
But can it make and receive phone calls well, how is it's signal compared to other phones? I ask because it IS a phone, not a gaming computer or camera, and playing Zelda isn't going to save a life in an emergency.
Nice video
Looked Compact Phone for
- Pixel 8 (Eynyos releated modem and battery issue)
- ZenFone 9 & 10 (camera and SDCard issue)
- S23 (ui, battery , ufs 3.1 on 128gb, 3.5jack, sdcard, camera instability issues)
But seems like Xperia 5 V beats all of them on every aspect excluding taller size and thermal throttling, Just price is force us to start dietary ))
From where do you get ur wallpapers?
Vous ne savez pas quel est le site Internet ?
@@EmmieSuksai yes I don't know
Hi, cal you help me plz ?
I can't find the shortcut icon for disabling/enabling mobile data... You know, the buttons when you swipe down. I've never had a Sony smartphone. Don't they exist on Sony phones ?
Wonder if the fingerprint will break after 1-2 years of use on this iteration as well
Why would it do that? Although I am not happy with the 5 V LCD panel and the price, but the fingerprint scanner is the best tested part of the Sony phone. I have my 4th Sony compact phone, the last one already for 5 years and the fingerprint sensor worked like a charm all of the time!
@@hectordavid4201I used both underscreen and capacitive fp scanners. The underscreen ones are way more accurate. 99% compared to like 40% and less when your hands are even slightly moist.
@@hectordavid4201the 5 V has an OLED panel, not LCD
880usd equivalent in hongkong. Already a good deal, I think.
Sony's phones are not meant for everyone. Only a pro photographer know what i mean.
Cool wall paper :>
We are for India
Is it still 6.1 inches?
Chris do you need a circumcised phone case for this model.
I don't understand how someone dump enough to buy those kind of smartphones it's didn't deserve it
How is battery timing someone suggested me about battery timing for playing games videos movies ?
Don't ask me, I'm still using the Xperia 5 II
Got a kinda if it ain't broke don't fix it attitude. And why do I need to upgrade the camera when it already does the job?
Wireless charging would be nice though ngl
6.1" is now COMPACT?
That phone looks big in your hands!!
"Compact"
Sony Xperia 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Indonesia Hadir
No gallery . No adaptive refresh rate. Very complicated camera app. The operating system needs a lot of work. The most annoying thing is the gallery. You are forced to use Google photos which is confusing with your other photos
This or the redmi note 12?
Hello thank you.really I loved I love Sony.
