They'll have to do it by the wildcard route( unless LA collapses, for whatever reason), but can still win it all....but I'd be more confident with this prognostication if SD got another bat and/or another bullpen arm
A team isn't a collection of parts. Younger players need seasoned veterans. Hosmer is the only team guy on the field. Manny and Tatis seem a bit self involved to lead things out. Statistics are fine. Situational performance is key

Padres are going to be ridiculous next year, no doubt. But I think the Braves have a slight advantage in terms of the outfield and the bullpen. Even with this year's reliever free agent class, Atlanta is still loaded with great back end arms and an elite closer in Will Smith. After a sort of fluke season, there are too many good teams in the NL now for the Dodgers to repeat.
Yes they should make the playoffs but the Dodgers r stil the team 2 beat and if dodgers land some impact free agents that might even up what san Diego has done so far! Usually Dodgers have their division won by may or June lol so now they have a really good san Diego team that wil challenged them 4 the title!
While the Padres’ lineup and starting pitching is elite, remember that their bullpen is still shaky. I dont think the Padres will outplay the Dodgers in a 4 game series. Best they can do is tie but not win.
You just never know. Pitchers are finicky, they could easily regress horribly next season or keep pace. The Padres caught lightning in a bottle and were lucky that it was only a 60-game season. They need to show they can replicate that same success in a 162-game schedule.
@Harry Henderson same could be said for winning 8 straight division titles? Covid didn't help LA in the playoffs either they were down 3-1. Imagine getting swept in a 60 game season doe 😂😂😂
It’s crazy last year Padres fans wanted Preller gone now he’s the goat lol
no sane pads fan wanted that man gone hahahaha bless the man
as a Dodgers fan i'm happy to see the Padres finally do some good upper management stuff. you guys have a great team now. just not as good as the Dodgers. but hopefully now with your guys loaded starting rotation you guys can stop your no hitter curse and finally put one on the books.
Been going to Padres games since 71' fifty years. Not sure what to think. I know you can't buy Championships, we shall see . What's going on at Petco, turned into a mint
Happy New Year
Happy new year
Happy new year
Padres were already formidable in 2020.....short season and all. They have a better than average shot of winning the NL West in 2021. They look real good....Dodgers still will be the team to beat but Padres as the ONLY professional sports team still left in San Diego will make some noise to put that city back on the map..for baseball at least.
As a dodgers fan im pretty shook now
Nah we still better
@@house3885 you're insecure and it shows
We still good bruh. We still have the second best rotation in baseball, and a better lineup and depth.
@@joshconnell8797 not saying y'all aren't good but some dodger fans act like the Padres aren't a threat and it's annoying lol
@@glusur76 y’all r a threat, but we’re better. On paper we’d win, but nothing ever goes according to plan
Dodgers still the best team ☝🏼

Vid Suggestion!!! Could you do a vid concerning the relationship between the MLBPA and the Owners? As fans, I think we don't always appreciate the intricacies and politics that happen between those two bodies and simplify it as two different groups being greedy. I'm sure greed is deeply involved but I it's also a lot more involved and complicated than that.
I've been a padres fan since they were in the minor leagues I am 64 years old. To me this is the best team Better than the Steve Garvey days.
i wouldnt say favorites but we put the champs on notice and we have to still worry bout Hotlanta. The team is pretty fire too
More like chokelanta
Good thing preseason Vegas odds are cursed. I don't remember the favorites winning the title in the past how many years
We got this .
I think the Padres have better position players than the Dodgers but the Dodgers had/have superior pitching. It is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
Darvish is a mad fucking scientist what a great acquisition he was, & Kim??? Maybe AJ is the mad scientist here
Good video
It doesn't matter what the Padres do their still not any better than second best! Dodgers are still the best team in baseball! So just eat it Dawson you have to sit through another season with the Dodgers the best of the best!! "GO DODGERS"!!
The Pads balls finally dropped? Congrats, lil brothas
Padres are my 2022 pick for World Champions. Clevinger completes the team
Dodgers will be going for the 3 peat
@@youtubeW3916 Padres will fold like they in in the 2020 NLDS and with Machado talking shit yet again
Western Division is going to be tough!
Think about 2022 assuming Lamet is healthy: Darvish, Snell, Lamet, Clevinger, Paddack/Gore/Weathers/Morejon.
Arguably the best pitching prospect in baseball will be fighting for a spot.
padres and dodgers are the new david and goliath
Goliath and Goliath lol
Its goliath vs goliath!
Let's go padres
Are the Padres badass yes coming from a dodger fan , but.. the bullpen is the difference
I’m a Padres fan so call me bias but I think the Padres bullpen is gonna be better than the dodgers, especially if they resign yates. Pagan had a bad season cause he pitched thru a bicep injury and the relievers were terrible in the nlds cause they had no rest for two weeks since clev and lamet were down
@@haseongpresident5327 true true I feel u Gona have to wait and see !
@@haseongpresident5327 I am a Padres fan bro but dodgers got a way better bullpen than the padre and the Achilles heel for the dodgers is closer jensan
@@joshuae100 not really. Dodgers don’t have treinen or McGee anymore and even tho they got knebel, he’s coming off a Tommy john
and Lindor went to Mets, wowee
they literally completely stacked their bullpen with the rest of their money
SoCal will own baseball next season if the Angels sign bauer and some other pitching.
Bad moment to be a San Francisco Giants fan: (
Don’t forget the Arizona and Colorado fans
Padres are going to be ridiculous next year, no doubt. But I think the Braves have a slight advantage in terms of the outfield and the bullpen. Even with this year's reliever free agent class, Atlanta is still loaded with great back end arms and an elite closer in Will Smith. After a sort of fluke season, there are too many good teams in the NL now for the Dodgers to repeat.
If any team can repeat or have a dynasty in a few years it’s the Dodgers
Can you start uploading again thx
New video tomorrow homie
@@DawsonWright LETS GO
You messed up when you said the braves were going to trade him it’s the rays
In the NLDS the padres didn't have clevenger or lamet so if they had those two guys the series might have looked a lot different
Here we go with t he excuses
If the dodgers lost Kershaw and Buhler and the dodgers lost to the Padres Dodger fans would be making excuses and complaining their asses off
Myers is underrated
Definitely... he stepped up his game big time. J think he'll be all star calibur this season
Dodgers are going back to back!
Yessir
Hell yeah we are
@Gabe Kapler maybe 2022
How come Clevinger's not on the thumbnail for this video??? Freudian omission?
Clev is out for 2021, and he was acquired back at the trade deadline
As much as I hate californian teams, padres are going to be arguably more exciting than even the dodgers in a few years
🧢 dodgers have a farm and money
Obviously you don't know jack about baseball.
Yes they should make the playoffs but the Dodgers r stil the team 2 beat and if dodgers land some impact free agents that might even up what san Diego has done so far! Usually Dodgers have their division won by may or June lol so now they have a really good san Diego team that wil challenged them 4 the title!
Every year, members of the Baseball media declare the Padres the champions of the off-sesson. How many trophies has that earned them...?
In time have patience. All with eat their words and love it
While the Padres’ lineup and starting pitching is elite, remember that their bullpen is still shaky. I dont think the Padres will outplay the Dodgers in a 4 game series. Best they can do is tie but not win.
Padres wreak point is the bullpen
If anyone thinks the padres can contend w dodgers this coming season is crazy crazy . I hope management reads this
You just never know. Pitchers are finicky, they could easily regress horribly next season or keep pace. If they both suck then the padres will be fucked, but if they keep pace they will be World Series contenders. Off-season champions doesn't translate into wins usually so let's see if it will for the padres this time
White sox and Padres young and fun a new era in baseball chisox4life
I could honestly see a video in the future called “the 2021 Padres: What went wrong” on lots of channels a few years down the line
Let's go DODGERS!!
Repent JESUS IS COMING BACK magicicians sorcerers are of the dev*l repent GOD bless you guys
Nah
@@GorillaRadio88 Repent and get right with JESUS CHRIST buddy GOD bless❤
Who’s here after they finished 12-35 and under .500
Over 2/3 into 2022 😅
They are better now but the Dodgers and Braves will be the bigger brothers in the NL for a long time so they are still a little overpowered
Padres front office are playing with cheat codes.
I got my Padres
5th comment if you don’t use the reply let’s go
They have problems. Kim isn't hitting. O'Grady is a dud. The best 1st baseman under Hosmer is jake by far
still will finish behind the Dodgers
SO THE PADRES ARE NOT THE TEAM TO BEAT IN 2021? WELL, THAT'S YOUR OPINION.
Everyone sleeps on the white Sox :/
This is the same talk people were having about the clippers when they made a splash in the off-season Just to lose in the postseason
Dodgers fans say just to lose in the postseason but y’all literally lost 8 times in a row before winning one
Padres fan never even won it in their entire existence.Astros were also cheating in 17, think you should quit talking baseball 😐
@@Angel-bg3rf the reason why us Padres fans are excited is because we’ve never won anything and we’re gonna see a team next year that has the ability to do so. You’re saying stop watching baseball but you’re a dodgers fan so you haven’t experienced watching a terrible team everyday. I HAD TO WATCH CLAYTON RICHARDS BE THE ACE FOR 2 YEARS. Have some empathy smh
Padres and Yankees
Do people realize that the 2020 padres had almost every position player have either their best year of their career or one of their best years?? Y’all actually except a bunch of guys who either hadn’t been that good in 4-5 years (Myers, hosmer) and guys who had never proven it before (everyone except machado) to repeat?? That offense is gonna take a hit and sure their pitching might have improved but people are overrating tf out of snell based on what he did vs the dodgers who make any lefty look like a HOF.. and the padres are being sketchy af about lamets health
Okay you can say the same for every other player that went off in 2020. Padres got a new manger and new pitching coach. So chill with the 2020 excuse.
I see padres beating out the dodgers in the division depending on how many games if it’s over 100 padres as they have better depth in pitching
With the Padres pitching and hitting going into this year, and their coaching, I can definitely see the Padres losing in 4 in the NLDS to the dodgers
@@Angel-bg3rf there is no way kershaw, goslin, may could beat lamet, snell or darvish urias won’t be used as a starter but buehler will win
So that’s why Padres were swept, despite being hyped for being slam Diego?
@@Angel-bg3rf Swept because Lamet and Clevinger (Padres top two starters) were hurt. Padres used up most of their bullpen arms all 3 games in the wild card series. There was no way they’d survive against the Dodgers in the NLDS not having arms. 2021 will be different with their pitching acquisitions.
@@Angel-bg3rf their two best pitchers got injured ones out for 2021
Snell doesn’t not have stamina: he just played for the rays
If Padres Get Sonny Gray and Trevor Rosenthal / Kirby Yates Padres will win the World Series
All that just to come in 2nd in the NL west🤣
Padres are looking scary, coming from a cubs fan
And Dodgers don’t scare you
I really don't want to see the padres win anything simply because of Manny Machado. Manny's the worst ballplayer ever other than John Rocker.
Totally agree, can't support that team because of him
Yep, no one wants to see a douche win
This did not age well
Still won’t beat the dodgers!
