Sohyang's stage was the last. Immortal Song competition usually has 7 contestants and after each performance the audience votes. If the next singer gets less votes, then the previous performer stays on the side of the stage. If the next singer gets more votes, then that singer stays on the side of the stage. The lady standing with the curtain background was the winner prior to Sohyang's performance. When she appears on the screen for the first time during Sohyang's performance, you could tell that she's feeeling that she won't win even though it was the beginning stage of the performance. Then later on, she just enjoys the music and dancing. She is a great singer as well. She was one of the favorites in I Am a Singer Season 1. She was an unknown singer until then and became very popular after I Am a Singer. Until Sohyang appeared in I Am a Singer 2, she was one of the best singers in terms of singing ability and voice. You should check her out as well as she sang for Begin Again series as well. Btw, this episode's theme was Michael Bolton who stood up after Sohyang's performance (mentioning just in case because many younger people don't know who he is) and he invited Sohyang to perform in his concert in Korea and sang a few songs together. The copy right claim scenario feels like wild wild west where the algorithm seems rather inconsistent, or even randomized, but Sohyang's voice is always phenomenal. You are also right that she sings not just for our ears but our souls.

There are Sohyang haters who follow reactions to her everywhere. Don't pay any attention to them and they will go away. It couldn't have been "boring" because Michael Bolton himself called Sohyang a "virtuoso" right after the performance and invited her to be with him on the rest of his South Korean tour. Then he invited her on an entirely new world tour featuring just the two of them. Unfortunately, they could not make their schedules match but the critic is just a simpleton hater. 🤔🤷♂🙄
She is incredible! For anyone to call it boring shows a complete lack of musical knowledge. She, to most voice critics, is the best female singer on the planet.
Many gospel singers have noted that she changed the sensibility and experience that was in Bill Withers' original version from that of a worship song to a praise song - a different kind of soul rather than no soul.
It does make you wonder when you hear somebody say that this was boring & uninspiring, if they have a problem with their hearing. It’s fine to not like it because that’s just not what excites you, everybody has their own particular taste & it would be so dull if we all thought the same but putting musical preferences aside, I just can’t see how anybody would use ‘boring’ & ‘uninspiring’ to describe this performance. I dont know for sure but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that this comment originated in the Philippines, or a supporter of Morissette at least, one of those idiots that dislikes sohyang’s vocals so much yet seem to spend an awful lot of time watching Sohyang vids & writing derogatory comments about them. I think if you get blocked depends if they notice or not, luck of the draw. I think big channels get blocked more or certain regions might. I think that is all there is to it.
I think the blocking or not blocking depends on the youtuber. If they wish to go ahead and show it and now get paid from it, it’s OK, but if you want it monetized, that’s when they block It. Most of her cover are from a TV show, and they do not want you making money from their production. That’s my take on it anyway.
