I never buy new decor! The thing I look forward to most at Christmas is getting out the cherished momentos that I have gathered throughout the years. Our Christmas tree is a tapestry of our lives. My hubby and I have been together 34 years, so our tree has ornamets from our grandparents, parents, special ones we have been gifted, ones that mark special vacations and moments in our lives, and ones our son has made. Nothing new could campare to the memories!! I feel like as years come and go some are good, some are hard, some are sad, but the constant in each one of those years is the Christmas tree! Your home is just stunning. I love it.
I honestly adore when you have “real life” videos; for example, having your casserole out or a random toy. That is real and seeing it makes me feel a since of relief that no one’s life is perfect. We are all doing the best that we can. ❤️

Andrea, your Christmas decorations have always been my favorite and I love the neutral colors and all the thrifted items you found. I have to admit, I tried to imitate your style back about 3 years ago. But for some reason it didn’t feel Christmassy to me and my husband without a splash of red in our home during Christmas time. But the neural tone look so gorgeous in other people’s home but not ours 😔 This past two years I’ve been using natural elements like the cedar leaves/branches as our garlands and I add plastic red berries in them and dried oranges. It’s very simple but very festive.
You are so right, I am 69 years old and use Christmas things from my childhood and my boy’s ( 36 & 33) decorations that they made in elementary school, it’s lovely to see them again every year
Sweet, sweet Andrea, you have been such a blessing to me with your advice, examples, talking with us about Thrifting , etc. Yes…this old lady has learned, or relaxed my soul is a better way to express it, with my decorating and thinking. I was one of those who did change and buy new decor and theme about every 3-4 years. I think I have found my “comfort decor” and I’m not feeling overwhelmed with the holidays now. 2 weekends ago, our youngest daughter and our oldest “granddaughter” ( who is getting married next summer ) came and I opened my room of decor and said PLEASE TAKE WHAT YOU LOVE ! Oh my goodness, such a warm heart I had when my granddaughter almost cried with excitement and her future husband was equally excited to fill the back of his pickup with decor for their first Christmas next year. She remembers so much of it and loved it. My youngest daughter was extremely excited also ( her children are 4 and 5 ) , they don’t get to come to Grandma’s for Christmas, to far away. But to know they will enjoy my decor is wonderful! Your home is stunning as always! Never apologize when you have your boy’s items in a video. Your home is lived in, and God bless you for making videos with 4 little boys ! I’ve watched Sarah @ Grace My Space…so amazing is her decor too and what a treat she gave us showing the snow falling and a hint of her property! I’m waiting for snow over here in central New York ! Everything is just so charming Andrea. Number one your house is so gorgeous, and to add christmas decorating to it just puts the cherry on top. You are so right about the familiarity of having the same things at Christmas every year. As a child , Christmas was my favorite time of the year. My mom did such a great job with making it feeel so special, for my siblings, which you do so well also. I have gotten away from decorating in my later years as it is just me and it is so much work, but it really is fun when you have young children to do all the things. And by no means do I get that you are encouraging your followers to go out and buy new stuff every year. You do such a great job with your thrifted finds. That's what i get about you. . Christmas decorating is the tradition of bringing out what you have to enjoy again. I have been married for 50 years and have lived in the same house the whole time! I have tree decorations that my son and daughter made when they were little. I still buy a few things new occasionally but depend on the old too.
I like both styles - narration and simply music. Will likely always watch both as they offer a different feel and a chance to enjoy your home twice. Love that you added others too.

Your home looks lovely and your boys are adorable and never apologize for things being out of place. How was dinner? I have also replaced my decorations slowly over the years. Many are made by my kids now by grandchildren and some of when we got married(50 years).

Everything is just so charming Andrea. Number one your house is so gorgeous, and to add christmas decorating to it just puts the cherry on top. You are so right about the familiarity of having the same things at Christmas every year. As a child , Christmas was my favorite time of the year. My mom did such a great job with making it feeel so special, for my siblings, which you do so well also. I have gotten away from decorating in my later years as it is just me and it is so much work, but it really is fun when you have young children to do all the things. And by no means do I get that you are encouraging your followers to go out and buy new stuff every year. You do such a great job with your thrifted finds. That's what i get about you. . I just watched sarahs channel before yours and I love her vibe as well. Thanks for all the lovely things you do to inspire us all to live a more simple yet vintagey lifestyle. I love your house.
Beautiful decor…Very graceful, warm and peaceful. Love hearing and seeing signs of your children…it feels like real life and I give you props for doing all of this while maintaining a family. I’m sure you put many smiles on faces, while still reserving some pleasure for yourself (important) in your decorating desires. Christmas decorating is the tradition of bringing out what you have to enjoy again. I have been married for 50 years and have lived in the same house the whole time! I have tree decorations that my son and daughter made when they were little. I still buy a few things new occasionally but depend on the old too.
I like both styles - narration and simply music. Will likely always watch both as they offer a different feel and a chance to enjoy your home twice. Love that you added others too.
P.S. Would you share where you found the sourdough brioche recipe and how you use it? I know some people make French toast with it.

Thank you for showing your house the way you live. All the perfect homes are nice to see but ultimately unrealistic for most. Your home is beautiful and your style is so peaceful and restorative.
