  • This winter we decided to take our first road trip from California all the way to Portland, Oregon. Instead of making a traditional Seasonal Cinematic Travel Film, I decided to break out my Canon 814 8mm camera and film with that.
This is my first time editing using footage shot with a Super 8 camera. It was a really interesting experience and I definitely learnt a lot (like just because it sounds like its filming doesn't mean it is...). I don't think this will be my last Super 8 Travel Film, I just ordered more 8mm film from Pro8mm and am excited to shoot more!
Thanks to Kat and our friend Scarlett for filming at times and for showing us around Portland! And thanks for watching the first Super 8 Cinematic!

Thanks for watching! This was something really different from anything I've ever filmed or edited before and I'm super proud of how it came out! Let me know if you'd watch more Super 8 content below and what you thought of the video!

Amazing! Thank you, I really enjoyed watching this film. What film stocks were you using throughout? Did it depend on lighting conditions?
