Yes, you'll find a job that requires you to integrate these AI tools into your workflow. Think of this as an opportunity to focus more on the creative side of things while the AI help you do the mundane repetitive technical stuff. Artists with a vision will always have an edge over AI.

If you look at most of the models on the website under community showcase, they're unusable. The feet on some characters are connected by a glob of polygons and the textures are typical AI mish mash slop (looks fine until you examine it for more than a couple seconds). The wireframe looks like a high density remesh job (in other words, topology incompatible with animation). You can say all day long "oh it'll be good in a couple years, just wait!" but we live in 2024 and imo this would be a waste of money (if you use the paid version) unless you needed a bunch of simple static props that are supposed to be like, way off in the distance. But like... if you're willing to spend money on 3d models why not just buy some from a 3d market place. They'll be better quality, easier to edit and customize to your liking and you're supporting someone's work. And of course there's the question of "where did the training data come from?" but that's an entirely different can of worms.
I think AI companies are focusing on the wrong things when it comes to 3D. Imagine having an AI tool trained specifically to do UV-unwrapping or complex retopology - now that would be something that artists could actually use.
I couldn't agree more, I'm saying it since months, give an AI tool to make me faster in UV mapping and retropology, but don't take the fun away from me, i want to still model myself.

Is also a real shame the you are giving propaganda to these AI companies when you know really well that the aspiration of these people is to work as a 3d artist and not be replace. In any way, these companies are doing these things with not copyrighted data because law says that these are copyrighted by the artist or entity who pay them to do these jobs, you don't have to go to copyright office to register it. You made is yours. The models look awful and those are not something the you put in your artstation let alone to be use any game. In addtion, we work from a concept where you have to understand the model and also use the same brushes and same style by using same tools too. Not like a ramdon soup of 3d models everywhere. Take as a positive critique.

@@ielohim2423 If it is higher poly and messy topology then your main models, it will definitely run like crap. Even if you use unreal nanite, it would definitely suffer on performance if you're not careful with just one small model in background.

I enjoy making movesets for my game and putting the pieces together as well as writing the story but I cant stand animating/drawing/modeling and have basically no experience in these sections. Getting a framework laid out with filler models and animations let me at least get something up and running. You say simplest things. Drawing/Modeling/Animating arent simple. Sure you can practice but not everyone can afford to be a full time solo dev and attempting to learn to do every part of game dev just delays you working on it. If I was immortal I might use my time learning it but TBH, I dont find the artistic visual side of creating something fun.
On which data was this model trained? If it's like Midjourney trained on copyrighted data, I don't want to use it and aid in the exploitation of artists. Think about that first please before promoting a very likely unethical tool.

I see some slight improvement in quality and output of this one. I've seen others like this. Not taking over 3d jobs yet. At this rate it will be a long while before it can hit AAA quality topology, textures, etc. or close to it. But I can see this one being used for quick animatics but nothing final production ready....unless the purpose is to look like melted clay with poor paint job/textures. Or maybe useful if 3d asset is not important on the screen or used in the distance. But trying to fix it for a production ready asset will be a nightmare. Might as well model and texture it correctly the first time.

Kind of unfair the pricing thing on this one. It wants credits for the generation of the model (understandable) BUT also, it wants credits to download the generated model . (kind of ransom here, doesn't it ?) And also texturing also costs credits . Im afraid to ask if im allowed to breathe XD . Good thing I know how to model and these things ares still not advanced enough to replace me . It looks good as a quick model mashup that you can work on and I find it useful as a idea, but they have to fix that credit spending . When I pay per generation : 1> I want one amount of credits spend for the model that is textured and I can download it . Not 3 separate payments . 2> I want a preview in order to know if I want to spend my credits on the model or not ! As is, I can spend all my credits on badly generated stuff and it wont be my fault !

This is the wrong A.I. implementations on 3DCG. The correct and perhaps the "humane" way to utilize A.I. into the "Traditional" 3DCG is by using it to improves rendering qualities. i.e. Artists/Animator can use A.I. as the final "compositions" to render objects/models with relatively low Poly Qualities into Photo realistic results in still images or animated movies and save huge amount of resources on GPU processing and times. The current A.I. processing is indeed still on the "7 fingers, warped feet, odd ambient" but the future correct development and goals should led the A.I. to be able gives, in this case as an examples a PSX player of 1996 Tomb Raider PSX(OG) a graphical quality to the 2013 Tomb Raider.

And it's disappointing to see this video which obviously is just for making money. This tool is not usable at the moment, maybe some day in the future, but the current stage is useless.
