This video came up unexpectedly on my recommended page and it was enjoyable to watch! I love your attention to detail when it came to describing the amnesties and quality of Amtrak. I'm from Europe and I had no desire to travel to America until I saw that there are train options now! It's as you said, it's about the journey and not the destination. You've gained a new subscriber and keep up the great work!

Im glad you enjoyed the video and I could show you what train travel in the United States could be like :). I love traveling to Europe and making videos while in Europe. Thank you for the support.

Davion, I watch a lot of train and flight review videos on RUclips, and I have to say I think this may be the most interesting one I have seen. You have a knack for explaining the basics, but without too much detail (never boring). This is one of the few Amtrak reviews I have watched where the creator rode in coach, which made it more unusual. Your interviews with other riders were really interesting. In my own experience, I've found that Amtrak riders usually have an interesting story behind why they are on board, and discovering these stories is part of the fun of riding Amtrak. And your gushing over the beautiful stations was a nice bonus. You seem to be a tough critic of the food (most Amtrak review videos I watch involve a lot of praise for the food) but there's nothing wrong with that. One aspect you might have touched on is cost--what did you pay for your ticket? Also, it sounded lke the guy you interviewed who paid $75 for the roomette had bid from scratch, but it appears he bid to upgrade from coach or business class, and it would have been interesting to know how he went about that. (I think I know, but many viewers might not know.) Anyway, I am definitely looking for more videos from you in the coming weeks. Thanks!

Thank you sir for the kind words! It really means alot, I tried really hard to show Amtrak in a different light. I have another coming out in a few months "Seattle to Vancouver by the Amtrak Cascade". Yes I noticed I left out some good details that viewers would love to know about, will make sure they are in the next big Amtrak video :) Thank you.

@@DavionWest Great! I am hoping to take that route for the first time in the coming year or so as part of an "around North America" long journey. I will definitely be watching!

Davion, you are amazing! Im sorry you couldn't make it to Seattle. Good thing you had wine to perk up your dry salmon. A three out of ten indeed! Boo! On a positive note, the ceilings were awesome. I like the San Diego station's ceiling. 👍👍 I love your videos. Keep up the most excellent work! Cheers! 😊❤❤📣📣👍🍾🍷🍷

Thank you for the kind words as always :). Yeah I was very disappointed with the salmon. At least the cake also made up for it.

As someone who lives in the region...It's BEYOND crazy that this route isn't a high speed rail line! 🤯 If the planned Train from San Diego to San Francisco is going to be under 3 hours...that means the entire route(From San Diego to Seattle) would only be 5-6 hours total! Instead of 38 hours! 🤯 Unbelievable The scenery on the route is gorgeous, but in 2023 there's no excuse as to why there isn't an HSR connecting the West Coast cities. Beyond outdated.

Especially when you look at how much money the Californian government gets from it people. 5-6 hours would be amazing!! I was just talking about Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver and how they need a high speed route.
