Very usefull . Thank you
Thank you brother
Really nice sir!!
Any request please let me know... Thank you.
Thank you for tutorial, I have tried to inserting a cylinder into metal clip, but at first I have problem in constrain, because I can't find surface to peak on node to node process. Hope we can get cylinder engagement simulation in the next vidio
Can you show setting condition on SOL402 multistep nonlinear ?
I try to run on SOL402 but It's very slow.
Hi, very useful tutorial. I tried doing the same with GoPro mounts, the travel distance in my case is 32 mm. I got the results but they are not complete..i.e, they are not of complete 1 sec time...Need help with this??
Hi. Perhaps 1 second is not enough time to do the complete movement. Please try to add more time.
I also sometimes input less time for the beginning calculation. Then add total time with more time step and recalculate again.
Use large time step before impact and create smaller time step near impact and during impact.
Can't get this to work with SOL 402. Many settings have changed, and it doesn't solve.
do you provide training ?
How can i get The file?
Great tutorial!
At 5:16 you set the "Coefficient of Static Friction" to 0.1, it was just for demonstration purpose?
I found your tutorial because I want to predict the force I need to clamp two pieces (an example similar to yours), in my case both parts are made of steel. I was searching and found in a table that the Coefficient of Static Friction of steel-steel is about 0.74. Yet when I simulate the reaction force is much higher than I expected. You think I should trust the values I get with 0.74?
Best regards
Steel to steel static coeff contact value depend on many condition. The value range from 0.1 to 0.7. depend on surface smoothness and the presence of lubricant. For this study case I use the smallest value.
Hi, I'm actually performing analogic case to yours, but it keeps on yielding strange results, even though I follow the steps like you show. Is there any chance you could share the files of the model and simulation ? Thanks
Hi. What is the strange result you get ? The stress not realistic or another thing ?
@@CADCAECAMTutorial The contacts don't seem to work as they should (btw it's not my first time using contacts in FEA). I'm trying to analyse the sheetmetal pressing between the male and female die and the male die is going through the sheetmetal piece (no contact). In some of the steps I can see sheetmetal part going sideways.
Are you using surface and 2d meshing ? And apply surface to surface contact between those object ?
@@CADCAECAMTutorial It's all solid bodies (no need to specify TOP/BOTTOM sides of regions). Surface to surface contacts made exactly as you showed, also the following steps.
I remember now, several weeks ago I expriencing no contact between solid bodies after modify the solid model. I delete all previous contact and delete all previous region. I also recreate and update some of the related polygon. Almost like refresh the model. And it solve the problem.
