i honestly cant believe the quality of this video. only 3k subscribers and you have the production quality equal to some of the biggest names. truly, well done
New to the channel but just throwing this out there but if y’all posted a weekly even 30 second video of a in counter using your amazing quality of video and crafting, I know I’d watch it
This video is amazing. Same day as I found it I've already cut and carved a whole lot of terrain and already tell this is going to revolutionise my games
Gotta admit, the hole pattern anchored by cake pop straws or skewers is a stroke of genius I'd not considered before. Also, A+ production quality on this! Am subscribing!
Thanks for watching! It varies, I probably only made 6-8 large odd shapes/triples, then a bulk of it was doubles and singles (10 to 20 of each) and a handful of stalagmites and columns
You're welcome mate! Love your channel! EVA foam's been my material of choice for a while, but your log house has got me curious to try some XPS (I just don't own a hot wire table 😅)
You have a new subscriber! I have a caves-heavy campaign I'm running, and have to be able to pack and take any and all tools, books, and terrain with me to and from each time. This is going to be SO helpful!
I love this idea. I have terrible storage problems due to the various terrains and sceneries that I've made. With your system a whole 4' square cave could fit in a small box.
Thank you! Cmike from Fables D20 made a great variation on these by using magnets instead of straws ruclips.net/user/clipUgkx1x8k4P0YiDDrxvGufklJqBqwxRcYCsgh
Damn man… my sons and I just so happened to be late to your amazing party! This video was amazing! We’ve been getting ready for a terrain building get together and damn your foam Mat idea is top notch!
Fantastic! Incredible, the many different scenes you were able to create with the same set of blocks. Perfect timing for me, too, as we are down in caves!
Nice, I was making these like twenty years ago with flat pieces of styrofoam, lol You can really make some cool looking formations with this technique. I might suggest putting some pieces together first as a solid rock then attaching them, that way all the rocks aren't all the same width. Adds more variation that way...
Wow! I am just getting into terrain making for my DnD campaign and I have found it hard to source EVA board where I live. I followed your tip and picked up some foam matts from the local hardware store and... game changer! The result is so astounding for such a simple process. I wish I saw your post first. Thank you. (and thank you from my players)
I actually came here right after Leif's Log cabin video. Now I need a Log cabin and some cave formations! Amazing video Seb :) Thanks for inspiration :)
i just started thinking about making dnd terrain and so happy i ran into this video. I ordered EVA foam, cake pop and some paint. Hope you can answer aquestion.. how do you apply the paint? it doesnt seem to be Dry painting.. but at the same time is not truely painting. thanks
Happy you found it inspiring and thanks for watching! On the foam pieces I'm "over-brushing" straight onto the EVA foam. Basically its slightly heavier dry brushing to get the texture.
This was epic man. Someone said I needed to check out this video and I'm glad I did. Love the modularity. Also, you seem well versed in filming. Very impressed by the video.

I am so glad your channel was recommend! this is amazing and voice is very soothing! how are you not HUGE on youtube?
Thanks very much! One day I'll work out YT, but in the meantime I'm really enjoying making videos for you fine folk.

Thanks mate! 😄
i love this idea... care to please say how many of "each size" rocks you made for the setups we see here?
Thanks for watching! It varies, I probably only made 6-8 large odd shapes/triples, then a bulk of it was doubles and singles (10 to 20 of each) and a handful of stalagmites and columns
This is spectacularly simple! If I had seen this before making my terrain stuff I'd have a totally different terrain now!
Amazing as always !
Many thanks! Your music makes it ever more so!
Thank you kindly for the shout-out Seb! 👍Also, bloody wicked looking sharp caves! Eva foam ey... 🤔 I need to become more accustomed with this!
You're welcome mate! Love your channel! EVA foam's been my material of choice for a while, but your log house has got me curious to try some XPS (I just don't own a hot wire table 😅)
Quickest subscription I've ever made

Thanks a bunch for subscribing! I still get a lot of use out of these little flat rocks 😊
I love this idea. I have terrible storage problems due to the various terrains and sceneries that I've made. With your system a whole 4' square cave could fit in a small box.
Thank you kindly! Yeah I don't have a lot of storage space either so its been handy. These also transport really well for games on the road.
Definitely going to give this a go. Thank you :) Roll 20's
You made this look so easy once again a great video
Thanks so much!
this is genius. thanks dude
real nice,
I love that

Hey, came from midwinter minis. This is an insanely clever idea you had here. I know a few dm friends who would love this idea. Thanks for the advice
Thanks very much!
Just found you. Awesome content! Great job!
Hey Sebastian ! Where can I get some of those wagon wheels ?? Thanks 👍
Like my wheels eh? 😄 Those are a thrift store find. Was originally part of a cheap cowboy and Indians playset
If you have a 3d printer, there's probably a free STL floating around on thingyverse
@@Atmoseeker thank you sir 🎲🖌️⚔️

This.. Would have saved me a lot of time and money 😂
Brilliant!

Wow! That's a great modular rock system!
You just earned a sub! Gj on the video and shout out to Leif.

@@Atmoseeker Very cool!
Very timely. I have some of those exact foam tiles, so have tried my own version of these. Great video.
Thank you! Awesome to hear, yeah big fan of this type of foam
Does he say anywhere how thick the foam is? I'm seeing 1"/2.5cm, .5"/1.2 cm, and 3/8"/1cm available.
The foam I'm using here is 1cm thick
@@Atmoseeker Thank you so much!
Did this last night. It shows up schmick as. And easy to make too. Did you come up with it yourself? If so, thank you.
Awesome to hear! It was of those "wake up in the middle of the night" kind of ideas 😂
how thick is the EVA?
The foam I'm using here is 1cm thick
What thickness of foam did you use?
These EVA foam mats are 1cm thick
WOW, can't wait to cut that old ugly foam floor and make dozens of rocks, thanks!!
Thanks very much! Yeah I still get a lot of use out of them. Thanks for watching!
Best brand of eva foam mats to use?
I was able to find some cheap generic mats at my hardware store, but I also have some links in my equipment page atmoseeker.webflow.io/equipment
mmmm.. I love the basic idea, but why not magnets?
Yeah for sure! I've seen folks make versions of these with magnets
👍👍👍
