- One of the most ruthless executions to have occurred in Europe was when the King of France went to the guillotine on the 21st January 1793 in Paris. He was a man who had been found guilty of treason against his own people, but King Louis XVI did not die as a King. He had lost this title and the monarchy was abolished in the previous September. However he was not the only member of the royal family who was executed, as his wife Marie Antoinette also was executed and the Queen lost her head on the same scaffold. Louis XVI’s execution was very swift and it was a historic moment in History, but what happened when the guillotine fell, and what did the subsequent exhumation of Louis XVI’s remains tell about his execution?
So nice to hear this narrated by a human voice and not a robot one. Makes a bit difference.
Robo waifu nice
Huge difference. 😊
How terrifying to stand before the guillotine moments before death
Hearing the blade drop would be somewhat bothersome i imagine
The biden family needs to watch this
Rising food prices, hard times, giving large amounts of money to other nations and leaders living in extravagance. Hmmm.
And jefferson never re paid france marie antoinette was innocent albeit out of touch
Apart from the ‘giving large amounts of money to other nations’ it sounds like a number of western current governments.
Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
@@rjuttemeijer Every day
Sounds like our current government.
Too sad because he was like a child when it came to his people
How'd you find these things? Please thought I researched all this back in early 2000's
A WHOLE mess of history has come out since then
Lots more info and books
Nothing changes unless the people stand up and fight back. Sound familiar?
_The DISTURBING Postmortem Of The Executed King Of France_ - Hmmm, let me guess .... when they did the postmortem on his body, they discovered he didn't have a head? Was that the likely cause of death?
“A historic moment in history”…?🤦🏻♂️
Surely this should be "An" historic moment in history? Or how about "An historical history momentary moment, historically speaking"? Or how about editing a script carefully before posting it?
They got rid the monarchy the day he died. Who was the monarch that had him exhumed? Just wondering.
His brother, during the Restoration
France had two competing royal house during the 1800’s - Borbon and Napoleon.
The guillotine was last used in France in 1977
Postmortem results, his head fell off. Simples
How? Somebody forgot to hold back a rather large blade.
Who? I Dunno.
Notice how the grovelling priest fed positive comments about the tyrant!!!!
The excecutioner was called Charles-Henri SaNsoN not SaMsoM.
The guillotine eas invited by a doctor a doctor thinking it was mote jumsne yhan yhe choppimg nlock ot hanging orbsny otjet method of punshment at that time
they should be ashamed, they have no business overseeing a cemetary. Some people think"they are dead what will they care." oh they care and others care too.the dead deserve respect as the living and this is not respectful
He didn't obey Our Lord Jesus' command for the consecrate of France to His Sacred Heart.
