You know what broke me.. it's been 50 years for him to kept his promise to Laboon and Luffy and his friends came in on time to save him. It broke me when he said he needs a few more years before he'll see him again. What a story.
Bink's Sake was written by Oda. The contrast between happiness and sorrow is beautifully written. Props to the anime for animating this arc beautifully.
I read Naruto, Bleach and most Shounens. But I never cried as much as I cried through One Piece. I read this incredible manga since high school where there's a manga in my city called "Budak Getah" (rubber boy) which is One Piece. I pick it up and kept reading it for 17 years (yes.. 17 years of my life and 17 years of weekly chapters.) I am so happy more people get to experience what I and the community of One Piece felt all this years. If one day.. if Oda do dies somewhere in Japan, just let me go there and put a cup of sake on his grave. Before I leave this earth. Thank you Oda and thank you lemon for this incredible journey in One Piece ! Keep it going !!! We'll see you in Wano.
I've been following it for 15 years, and it cured my depression. I have a lot of dark Seinen and tragic Shonens on my shelf, then there's One Piece. The series that surpassed any label, and imo is one of the greatest works of fiction ever. What Lord of the Rings is to fantasy and Dune is to science fiction, One Piece is to adventure.
read my first op comic in 2006, then school and puberty hit and skip the op, back to op when got my first heartbreak in high school at 2011, and I keep read manga online since then till now, never i imagine my life without one piece
i think this will be some kind of fun pirates anime when i was a kid, then sanji backstory strike me, i just laying on my bed with depression, and when marry funeral, and brook, one piece just never give me some normal emotion
These are the moments that make one piece fans so persistent when convincing others to read or watch one piece. All they see is a behemothly long series, we see a part of our childhoods our lives, 25 years and going, and this single moment was like 15 years ago. This and many other moments have sat with us for years decades even, and we never forget them.
Brook had such a sad backstory. Imagine having your crew/family dying one by one, then coming back to life and having to sail that ship for 50 years alone with their dead bodies. I’m surprised his sanity didn’t kick the bucket.
Agreed! If it’s okay with you, the spirit of Brook and his pun game, permission to suggest that ending comment be ‘I’m surprised he didn’t lose his head in the process…’
Personally, from Brook's backstory his promise to Laboon is the part I care the least about. What really gets me every time is that he lost his crew and lived alone for 50 years..
I mean, his promise with Laboon is the only reason he was able to make it those 50 years in isolation. I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for his promise and needing to carry his crewmates' final.message to Laboon, he would've ended it all way before meeting Luffy.
The first time is hard to listen, but imegine listenning for the second time when brook play the tone dial for laboon and we will have to listen again the song, and laboon crying.
U make me wanna hug you!! Your reaction has me feeling the same way! This song always gets me and your reaction to this hits home. Thanks for being u I loved the watching you
Imagine how different things would have been if the Rumbar crew decided to pull their own timeskip instead of leaving Laboon at the cape. He would have grown alot bigger in a few years and the crew could have gathered info about the Grand Line. They would have done alot better with an island whale helping out. Tugging the ship, knocking over enemy ships, and even acting as a lifeguard for people who went overboard. And after he finally got big enough, Laboon could have become their ship. Crokus showed us ypu can live inside an island whale with no ill effects to it.
I think if its other people in brook state, they will go crazy from the loneliness in the darkest sea in grandline, imagine it, 50 years alone in the darkness, i really applaude brook to survive that to meet the SHP
In the recent years, everybody watches a certain subtitle set that I'm not fond of. Only because, I really really got attached to my first time watching One Piece with Kaizoku-fansubs, and they left certain terms untranslated. The Navy was "Marines", friends or comrades were "Nakama". When Luffy's final attack vs Crocodile, breaking him through the bedrock, it was "Hanabi: translators note, means fireworks" It's those little bits that make...it more personal. When you hear Brook set sail here, he calls Laboon "nakama" but the subtitle says "buddies" and I think it loses a bit of charm.
dont cry often but brooks story broke me and now i cant hear binks sake without singing & crying along at the same time so i really sound terrible while singing binks sake🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

"It's good to be alive"
That line has taken me through some dark times.
When he counts down "quartet, trio, duet, and now solo" and seeing Brook get more and more sad as each member falls, it breaks me every time.
Nobody writes like Oda
Oda is the best
Bink's Brew is better than Bink's Sake
crocus is .........

Oda the legend
"Even when I'm alone, I can have fun!"
Damn that hurts every time.
*cries her heart out from Brooks backstory*
Her moments after: I kinda feel bad for Brooks

I am still not strong enough to watch this without crying, and i have watched so many times already
That you still cry is not a sign of weakness but strength. It shows that you still care and that you can unterstand the pain.
@@christianv.8448exactly this.
Bink's Sake will never be the same again
I used to listen to this while imagining this must be a fun scene.....now i know😭

The quiet of the sea and the wind after brook stopped, that's what really got to me
The way Oda-sensei builds OP's world is absurdly good. Great reaction.
Me too Lemon, me too! You'll cry like this a further 4-6 times before you get caught up with the rest of us. Enjoy the emotions! Love this show
"Maybe he asks for panties cuz he died a virgin". You didnt have to roast Brook like that😂
Binks sake might be one of my favourite moments. The next arc is one hell of a ride so strap in tight.
Our brook is a real man through and through
You made me cry again! Some time ago I saw this episode and I remember crying a lot. It's a great arc, what do you think?
this arc is very impressive😭😭😭
CHEERS! To the rumbar pirates, a crew who brought a smile to every child!

This series needs to be read/watched in schools. It's just as important as any work of fiction you have to read for literature class.
I totally agreee!!! :O
How many hours of school time do you even think they have a year?
@@devadathans5506 i think they have enough ... xD
@@devadathans5506 yes

Bink's Sake is the One Piece fan's "Leaves From The Vine".
Of all the backstories that we have so far Brook, Chopper and Sanji are at the very top for me
For me it's Sanji, Franky and Nami..
They're all good but my top three are Brook, Robin and Sanji
Kuma is n1
U make me wanna hug you!! Your reaction has me feeling the same way! This song always gets me and your reaction to this hits home. Thanks for being u I loved the watching you
表情が豊かで見入ってしまいました笑
笑う顔はかわいいし、悲しいシーンに移入して泣いていて優しい人だなと思いました。
これからも見させて頂きます。
The singing round across time is one of the highest forms of art put forth by anime, As well as a complete tear jerker!!!
It's times like that it makes me realize being immortal would be an absolute curse. Watching people you know and love perish would break me
Bink Sake Song of a Thousand Emotions
Can't wait till brooks and laboon reunite
Brook was a pirate before King of the Pirates' execution, before it was cool to be a pirate
Seen this so many times and it _still_ leaves me in tears. Ugly crying. Every time.

Even after reading the manga before watching the anime i sobbed just like you
このシーン、ブルック好きの自分には色々感じるものがあるなあ😢😢
of all the strawhats heart-breaking backstories ; brook's story always makes me cry whereas the other's backstories inspire RAGE .
I don´t even know why am I watching this, I just cried so hard with you, as the first time I saw this episode :(
Love your honest reaction ❤️
Now I am crying an ocean of tears over a whale and song at 12am😭😭
I knew this is coming but
I don’t have to suffer this much Pain
I think if its other people in brook state, they will go crazy from the loneliness in the darkest sea in grandline,
imagine it, 50 years alone in the darkness, i really applaude brook to survive that to meet the SHP
One piece is the only anime that has made me break down badly..
Even if years past we would still remember oda being the legend and the goat
They never tell us Yorki's bounty btw, also I think its cool you don't read titles.
i thought i could get through this without crying again..i was wrong

When one piece end , i want scene where brook and laboon meet
ABSOLUTELY!
this song really hits different in many ways ^^ :/
To me this was top 5 sad moments in one piece.
Legit reaction. Binks
Im crying your crying😭😭
I wanna know what Oda was going through when he made the backstories
Try not to Cry Challenge Level: Impossible
Yo ho ho ho Yo ho ho ho😭😭😭
Never heard how baby whale sound in real life, I think laboon voice is from a dolphin but nevertheless it gets me in the feels the kokoro ❤️😊☺️
Dolphins and whales are the same species, just different in size.
This song will be my last song I sing before I'm dead
You know the anime was good if it made you cry.
Why is ther a checker board
I hate the fact 4Kids dub turned Laboon into an iceberg for Luffy to destroy but in the Funimation dub it is still Laboon
Gets me everytime
J'aime beaucoup certains réactions des gens sur les animés mais j'ai compté 18 coupure de song de la chanson
1:43 I wonder why Isekai Anime main characters who died as a virgin, didn't asked to show panties like Brook did 👀 Only Brook
