My, oh, my, Trackside Tyson! You are blessed with some of the most spectacular railroad scenery I've ever seen. Not much compares to what you have in Canada, here in the US. But the thing is, you have a great eye for framing the shot, using that great scenery to your advantage. Just utterly amazing stuff going on here. The romanticism behind what people think of heavy railroading is captured in this video, that's for sure. A desolated, isolated world of great beauty. Your channel deserves more views and more subscribers than what you are currently getting. I suspect in time and with the youtube algorithm, your subscriber base is going to jump to where it deservedly belongs. All the best!!
@Michael Notigan Thank you kindly for your supportive comments I am happy to be posting videos for everyone to enjoy - Thank you and a stay safe out there!
The train was slowing down waiting for a clear signal to proceed west at Kissick since the eastbound was meeting them there on the double track. Thanks for watching!
I live in Calgary, AB and know CP trains better. The CP money trains all have DPU, usually the 3 locos are front, middle, end. The longest train I ever saw had this arrangement but with 8 locomotives each with about 75 cars. That was 10 years ago, I don't see those anymore. The CN train here has 3 at the front. I assume that is because CN has only one (much lower) pass, the Yellowhead, and otherwise follows the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. CP has 4 passes between AB and Van (The big 2 are Kicking Horse and Rogers), therefore the arrangement of the locomotives. Power, engineering, science, technology, super cool.
Truly great photography! I don't always get a chance to push LIKe button, but I try. Something about the railroad, my dad always loved it, and so do I :) You take things a bit higher with amazing backgrounds, and a knack for great work. Thank you, L. Thiffault
Canada has lots of different looking terrains across the country, this area in the summer can reach extreme temperatures just like the desert and also cold through the winter with snow. Thanks for watching glad you have had the experience to travel here.
@AndreiTupolev If I was CN I would have just started the!double track half a mile east from the mountain cut because it goes back into single track just after the cut lol. Thanks for watching!
I miss a bunch of indians at top on the ridge.stunning enwiroment in your video.thank u from sweden.awesome.

Was there originally just the tunnel, and the chasm was hacked through the rock for the second track?
Yes that is correct.

That's A Rough Looking Tunnel 😕
Yes, although when they made it double track here they cut out the rock leaving no tunnel for the newer section of track.
