  • Tired of the same old grilled cheese sandwich? Chef Dom shows you how to make an Italian Fried Mozzarella Sandwich that will blow your mind. This Mozzarella in Carrozza recipe is very easy to prepare and only takes minutes to cook. The Mozzarella in Carrozza is a street food and popular dish in Campania, a region in southern Italy.
    The origin of Mozzarella in Carrozza (Mozzarella in a Carriage) is humble. This recipe came from the need to re-use the stale bread and old mozzarella. The legend tells the name derives from the shape of the sandwich: originally the bread slices where round, like the wheels of a coach. Today, mozzarella in carrozza is a simple and tasty old-fashioned sandwich that has earned its success. Mozzarella in carrozza is not only the regal name of this recipe, but also the name of a famous artwork by Gino De Dominicis.

    I would think these would go exceptionally well with marinara sauce! Question about the battering tho- are the bread crumbs already that finely ground straight from the can? Also, did you add any other ingredients to the crumb mix? Thanks guys- yall always make my Sundays!

      @BrooklynBrothersCooking  3 года назад

      Yes, great with Marinara! We didn’t add anything to the breadcrumbs. We used Italian style, which already had the seasoning and ground up fine
