Great vlog Will. We spoke to that guy who built that big boat when he had started it in Selby looks great. Some great scenery a long there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 your never talk to yourself your talking to us. Take care
That butterfly you were showing at the start was a 'small tortoiseshell '. At the risk of repeating meself again, another great video Will. Thanks very much. B.
What a contrast the Aire was to the Ouse. Placid and pleasant and no freakish flotsam. You are following in Robbie Cumming's footsteps and he is following in yours. He's now submarining through the underwater jungle on the Pocklington.
Ha ha I've heard he's up there or was up there. We vloggers are usually behind on times. The river Aire is like being in Heaven compared to the Ouse. Cheers
lovely video , beautiful reflections on the river in the mornings , & so peaceful too .it's strange to see a seal on the river , i thought they could only live by the sea .
That seal has been around there for years and I think the water is slightly salty because anglers say they catch flat fish which is a sea fish. Again it was lovely conditions. Thankyou Lori
That was a nice cruise and waffling from you. It's difficult to quickly explain you are talking to your viewers, or are you? 😉Haha I'd pretend to be on a call too! Odd and great to see a seal there on the canal!
That seal has been there for years. Must be happy there. I don't like talk to my phone with people around. Seems odd to me. Ha ha If nobody watched my vlogs I would be talking to myself. Cheers Robert for helping me not talk to myself.
I suppose fish nets would be more in keeping on a river with thigh length rubber boots or waders as they are more commonly known. What a ghastly apparition.Oh and l think that was a Tortoiseshell butterfly.
I can't believe there was a seal in the canal! Great vlog, super bridges and what beautiful views- Did you wash your tights? 😂The butterfly looks to me like a 'small tortoiseshell' Did it have blue trim on its edges? Thank you Mr NB Will, it's a filthy thumbs up from me!🦋🌻
Hello Mrs Mindful. I can't remember seeing any blue on the butterflies wings. I've got yours to watch but I'm running around alot. Omg the roads are terrible up here. See you soon. Have a great weekend.
The Selby local rail bridge once carried the ECML, which went right into the town. When the Selby coalfield was developed in the 70's they were worried that subsidence would affect the route, so they built a brand new diversion line to avoid the area. Within the blink of an eye the whole thing has been and gone, just like all the other pits . Wonder how many billion pounds that cost us all. Anyway I'll be exploring the Selby canal myself in the next few days, your vids are great for doing my reconnaissance.
A seal in the cannel, a baluga in Seine Paris, a seal in the river swim up to Germany and in Holland we had Wales on th coast last month, nuture is going Rippers i think.
you make my day, with your running commentary. Keep it up, its great. Was the other bird you mentaioned, a ringed plover, as also squeak like the oyster catcher and are black and white. Pee Wits.
@@NarrowboatWill I did what you did back in 2019. Sold the lot and brought a boat. I live on the canals and rivers around Brum. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I know I'm sane!
