Those are actually the only reasons I prefer the pro over the base model too. It's a deal breaker not to have an 120hz display in 2024 for me... When it comes to the bezels I really like the thin bezels of the pro. If next year the base 17 model has these thin bezels but 17 pro has even thinner, I will again prefer the pro only for that. Also keep in mind that apple hasn't changed the display hardware for three years now. I am pretty sure that next year they gonna introduce a brighter display with the same anti-reflective glass that S24 ultra has. And I pretty sure that they will keep those upgrades only for the pro models. So there may be more reasons to still want the pro model next year over the base model.

apple intentionally gatekeeps promotion to pro models to have an actual incentive to buy it. otherwise the regular iphone and pro iphones would be a virtually identical experience
I can’t help but point out how beautiful the base model iPhones look this year. This is definitely one of the most beautiful iPhones after the iPhone 4 and XS.
Yeah, wish the pros had better colors, really like the blue and pink ... The glossy sides too, the matte in the regular versions are so much better. I went with the white titanium, looks pretty good.
The base model iPhones this year are far more feature rich in capable than previous years devices and especially spec level is so close to the pros that I simply don't feel the necessity to upgrade to a Promax.

Yes you can. I have owned only Pro iPhones since day 1. But got the basic 13 cos I felt I did not need the pro features. It has worked fine. However, if you like Pro features go for it.
Light weight is the most important thing with a regular iPhone from the 12 series or later, and the 12 is also considered the lightest of them in weight, without feeling any fragility or weakness in the device.

I have the 16 pro. Works great glad I got it. Not too big but still has the 6.3 inch screen with pro motion. Plus I love taking .5s with the new 48mp ultra wide
I'm upgrading from the 15 Pro to the 16 base because is really beautiful this year. For me the only thing worthwhile about the Pro is the ability to shoot ProRes Log videos, and that's not something I really need. I love how minimalistic the white iPhone looks with just two cameras.
I came from iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro. And I would say, it’s really heavy for me and it strains my hands sometimes. Of course, I love the 120hz and the pro cameras but this iPhone 16, is just the perfect size and weight for me. I can live with the 60hz and non-pro cameras. What I noticed with the iPhone 16 is how smooth and fluid opening and switching apps, maybe because of the new processor.
The 16Pro in Matte Black is a fingerprint magnet. I have it and I hate how it shows all fingerprints and smudges maybe you can't see it much on the other color phones but for the most part you can see it well on the black one but I use a black Mous limitless case 6.0 in black graphite so it covers the entire phone.

If you've never used 120 Hz. I would advise you to get the 16 plus that phone is freakin brilliant for the price three hundred bucks cheaper and the battery is amazing. If you've already went pro then you'll need to buy a 16PM or allow yourself time to adjust to the 60hz

The 80Hz only happens when you scroll very fast, but if you scroll normally it’s 120Hz, so honestly it’s not gonna be an issue unless you scroll very quickly

Paying for the best model of a phone is the worse purchase if you are the type that likes to purchase a new phone every year or two. Technology changes constantly and frequently. I think something is wrong with your 16 pro, those benchmark scores are way too low. The average scores are like 3300 single-core and 8200 multi-core. Granted it's not a huge difference, but I thought I'd mention it in case you wanna check out if something's wrong.
The 15 Pro doesn’t have the same bezels as the 16 it has the same bezels as the 14 Pro/14/15, they slimmed the bezels of the pros last year too, its just not as noticeable.
Downgraded from a 14 Pro to a regular 16. The photos from the 14 Pro were so disappointing compared with those from the 12 Pro that I only took pictures with the 14 Pro when I absolutely had to. And the current Pro lineup is too large and the color offerings are those of a boring sedan.

In this case I'm going for the iPhone Pro. I feel like it's really worth it. The 120Hz screen makes a big difference, as do the processor and RAM.
I have it and the truth is that the screen is something else, it feels better calibrated than last year's.

15 Pro does not need an upgrade, whether it is 10 or one, unless you are interested in lighter weight.

Having the new Pro Max. I'd say go for Pro! Max too big and inconvenient at times
