No offense to him, but that kind of skillset doesn't get you a tier 3 job without connections. Watch his previous videos to understand more. He got the technical skills from cs50, which made him pass the interview. And he put stuffs like "I know C, python, js, flask (and other stuffs that cs50 teaches)" in his resume instead of "I took cs50"
Congratulation and good luck with your new job. You only completed cs50 then you're now already in a tier 3 position. That's pretty good. CS50 is indeed powerful and handy.
I think that it is mainstream of IT industry that now even on very senior trchnicl position they hire people with VERY little technikal skills. As a result that group produce a shit monster instead of application. Time of creation that application increases 20 times from normal for team with good trchnical Lead. They hire you because technikal skills means very little in order to get developer or team lead position.
I get what youre saying about companies requiring you to follow their workflow. Youre wrong assuming that wouldnt teach you anything. It definately will teach you to follow a certain production pipeline, deadlines and whatnot. Also as your first assignment, everything will be a lesson. Good video though and godspeed on your journey :-)
I really like how you made yourself as "not just technical", but communication skilled, reliable, healthy (non-healthy), trust-worthy, open to criticism, and a decent human being when I get rejected for my lack of experience, and other bulllshit reasons. Welcome to life I guess. Anyways, you gave me a good thing to pounder upon. thank you and have a beautiful day.

@kombina_official. I noticed you said with Senior Developer jobs, they require more of the technical side (obviously), but that the other jobs in the tech field just want a general whole package deal. What "other jobs" did you apply for? I am on my own learning path and one of things I have always wondered is, what are some of these positions even called? What would I search for/how would I word my searches when actually looking for these positions like the ones you interviewed for and the one you got hired at? I am not super verse with all of the terminology used in this field. Subbed! Thanks!

Damn, do I understand correctly that you're being paid 3500 EUR per month for the first software engineer job in your life? Crazy.
What do you mean? Is it great money or what?
@@jathebest2835 Yeah, it's a lot of money for a an inexperienced person
No offense to him, but that kind of skillset doesn't get you a tier 3 job without connections.
There were either different qualifications he was hired for or he's lying or the job is the type of project manager that you would move the guy that still sucks at coding so he can just make sure everyone is finishing what was requested from the hire ups.
@@Kokurorokukothere’s definitely holes in his story like how is he getting interviews with no experience
@@moemoe-jb2fwprojects. It’s that easy. Showcase you are just as qualified
Take's CS50, gets a Project Manager position. Strange coincidence.
not even close or related
he’s living in israel so it’s easier to get hired in tech there
Microverse lasts for 1 year how did you not learn anything?
Hello teacher...can I get cs50 course link 🔗 , please 🥺
Hey Kombina, I just wanna say thank you. Your content is the most honest content, you let your viewers and audience to know your process after getting harvard to applying jobs and facing tons of failure which in my pov is reality that we need to see. I am currently also undertaking CS50 as my course and would love to connect with you and chat more about it if you'd like to connect. Kudos' to you. You are one of the best content creator.
I appreciate that! Wishing you much success. How is it going? Are you making progress with CS50?
this is the most positive person i have ever come across on the internet. i dont really give good compliment but i guess he passed my compliment test. :-D
I have one question , do You pay for the certicated? There is a way to get the certicated free?
cs50.harvard.edu/x/2023/certificate/
This doesn’t make sense how can you make a resume after you take cs50? How can you pass technical interview ?
Watch his previous videos to understand more. He got the technical skills from cs50, which made him pass the interview. And he put stuffs like "I know C, python, js, flask (and other stuffs that cs50 teaches)" in his resume instead of "I took cs50"
I wasn't going for dev jobs. I aimed at IT.
Congratulation and good luck with your new job. You only completed cs50 then you're now already in a tier 3 position. That's pretty good. CS50 is indeed powerful and handy.
Thank you for such a nice comment. Wishing you much success!
Out of curiosity, do you a bachelor's degree at all?
Much success! How are you doing?
Big congratulations man! Thanks for sharing, which websites did you use to apply the most? And are you a US citizen? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, it would be useful to me to know. I wish you the best of luck!
Hey the best place to look for job is local job boards. (For example: www.builtinaustin.com/jobs) NOT Linkedin. Look for smaller job boards near you - and connect with your local companies
the conclusion is to be a decent human being after failing so all these job interviews XD. very helpful video tho thanks
Subbed!
Thanks!
Try IT Project Manager
sir, on which platforms did you apply?
Try job postings from companies in your area
Taking it now and maan does it bring out feelings of inferiority... I don't see how those kids are able to do it in 10 weeks.
Coding is not about feelings. Just get the job done. Who cares what kids at Harvard can do?
Great real well done - many different skills add up to a whole package. Well worth watching.
Thank you for such a nice comment. Wishing you much success!
Really? I thought that CS50 is not enough.
You obviously shouldn't stop learning after finishing CS50. But to get an entry-level job (specially in IT), it is enough.
Share your cv please
When the Tech Lead likes you, but HR doesn't, you won even if you didn't get hired.
very helpful
Yeah, I never thought cs50 could help land a job!
I also didn't know - until I tried
Or a CS degree?
Correct.
Week 5 wooh
that's crazy
wait youre in Israel?
yup it all makes sense now

Please make more videos. Wishing you much success!
