A 'birds eye view' is exactly what our special guest, Fred Carey, has had throughout his colourful career in aviation.
Fred is the Deputy Director of the Provincial Emergency Program (now called Emergency management BC) Air division, called PEP Air. This is a voluntary position. As a Search Pilot since 1998, Fred has used high technology for mitigating air searches, using Thermal Imaging, Color Video/Photo Analysis, Radio Tracking in both fixed wing and drone aircraft.
He has a demonstrated history of working in the public safety industry. Strong community and social services professional skilled in Network Architecture, Voice over IP (VoIP), Emergency Management, Radio Engineering, and Product Management.
PEP-Air is a member of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) which is a national organization and an air resource for the Department of National Defence.
