That said, I’m looking at the pro R just for more light. The laser, for me, is pointless (get the joke?) as it annoys everyone else at the target range and shows everyone how much caffeine you had that day. For all purposes aiming should be learned on iron sights first and foremost…then red dot optics as they are fast and day/night visible. The “dot” is adjusted to “point of aim:point of impact “ on my weapon only for the use of I can’t aim weapon traditionally. Which basically means “hip shots”. That laser will be the price difference between the lower grade light (Olight) and the higher grade NON laser light (streamlight tlr1 HL). Which, in all hindsight, I wish I bought first. Don’t get me wrong I love my Olight Baldr S as it DOES has the high lumen output. But if I were to do it again I know now that the “laser dot” is pretty much just a gimmicky thing that adds price. You said you don't know which one you prefer, but man you railed on the streamlight the whole time 😂 For something "battle proven" that laser wasn't working at all. You have to remove it from the gun to swap batteries and then go through the hassle of rezero-ing, poor switch placement, flimsy switch, too expensive. Similarly bulky, similar light output, same aluminum body, neither made in America. The Olight seems like a way better deal to me.
Almost all lights that aren't rechargeable need to be removed to change the batteries. I hate rechargeables. You are going to lose run time over time as the battery degrades.
I have olights, streamlights, and surefire and have multiple lights from each company. I will say the the tlr-2 is the only light out of the 3 company's that I really regret buying. Not really any holster options for the tlr-2 and the elevation and windage adjustments on the laser have always been weird. It's just alot of money for what ur getting really, if I could do it again I would have just bought another surefire x300 or 2 tlr-1 instead. As far as the laser flickering on the tlr -2, it's from the batteries being low, at least that's what mine does. If u keep running it the light will eventually start to flicker too and then stop working all together. Replace the batteries and the laser issue will go away.
I just got a couple olights, one for the handgun and one for the rifle. Different models for each. I was really disappointed that they used different ends to charge the lights. I can't charge either light with the other charger. This is a huge oversite for their ecosystem.

@@jasongaudreau2075the laser is for faster target acquisition if you’re in a pinch and have the laser zeroed then all you need to do is point and pull it’s a lot faster than acquiring with irons or a red dot granted train both incase the laser fails and don’t rely on the laser.
@@HD_tempest exactly like I said…a hip shot if you are unable to aim. But, for the price and what the weapon will be used for 99.9% of the time….targets. If u were a budgeting man…or a logical thinker…or trade the money that the laser plus light costs, for a better light without laser. I’d be happier with a better light for target acquisition in a real situation than a lousy light with a laser. I got both tho. All zeroed, but never really use that laser.
Good honest review, that’s why I like your videos. I would go with the Olight
Nice video Harley good review I would definitely go with olight why not save some money when you can have a happy Thanksgiving and stay safe .
I have both brands and like both.
Very fair review and that why I your reviews. Keep up the great work.
He literally says at the end of the video that he benefits if you buy Olight.
So what? He’s an Honest man. Don’t matter if he does it’s his business, buddy 📦
Figured that was evident in the first few minutes when he said they sent him products. 🤷🏼♂️
You forgot the most important part. Do the lasers keep their zero?
I know the one on the olight does for certain
You said you don't know which one you prefer, but man you railed on the streamlight the whole time 😂
For something "battle proven" that laser wasn't working at all.
The TLR probably has more holster options than any Olight.
Do you think the laser is necessary? Should I get a tlr 1 no laser or o light w green laser?
@@canines it is.
If you ain't first, your last
How much streamlight
im looking for a holster fora p870 g17 with olight baldr pro. any recommendations?
Already ordered 3 olights😂😂
I just got a couple olights, one for the handgun and one for the rifle. Different models for each. I was really disappointed that they used different ends to charge the lights. I can't charge either light with the other charger. This is a huge oversite for their ecosystem.
What did you get for your rifle ? Looking to mount on my Ruger pc9....
I just picked up the OLIGHT BALDR Pro R for $80. So far I have no complaints.
Where!?!
‘
Double the where?
Triple the where???
Quadruple the where???
What duty holsters will it fit?
Orpaz holsters
I’ll take the Olight. Maybe I’ll win one
Thanks for the review!!
That's too funny bro, do I have to tell you to always glance at the manual LOL great look bro thanks
I felt so dumb
Olight would be the one I would buy
Being a member of the 🐺 pack I'm obsessed with O-light gear and they definitely didn't disappoint so finger's absolutely crossed over here in NC for that #giveaway 🤞🏻
O light all day 🔥
