This made me think of that ormonde jayne masterclass we attended! Still to this day I think it’s my favourite masterclass to date - her passion towards her fragrance line was so infectious 🧡 and I still remember you fangirling so hard that day too 😂😂💛 I really need to try out Chasing scents, it sounds wonderful
I love this format of video, so fun to feel as though I’m just hanging out and chatting frags with you! Slow World sounds beautiful. And I, too, have a very soft, nostalgic spot in my heart reserved for Bvlgari fragrances. ❤️
Haha I feel it’s important to distinguish my enjoyment factor from the more technical aspects, for sure - sometimes I love something even though in theory, it shouldn’t be my fave haha
I was so intrigued by slow world and unhappy there are no reviews of it. Your review is stunning!! now I am pretty sure it is worth blind buying (as soon as they start shipping to Europe 😬). I have a lot of tea scents and absolutely nothing like it.
Excellent reviews Cherie. I really like Andy Tauer's work but I have to be in the mood to wear his scents. I find his base a bit heavy so I prefer to wear his scents in colder months. My favs from his line are L'AdD., Phi Une Rose and Une Rose Chypree. I own travel sizes of the first two but missed out on adding a travel of Une Rose to my collection. I could be wrong but I think it has been discontinued? A friend of mine loves Gardenia Petals and has been through a few bottles of it. As a lover of powdery/makeup scents, I'm curious if you ever sampled Love Chloe? I'd love to try it but it is long discontinued and I was never a fan of the orginal Chloe. I'm wearing Luxury today which is light dewy carnation scent by Mizensir. It's a bit fleeting but I love it. Particularly in spring. Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks Petunia! Une Rose Chypree has indeed been discontinued - I cherish my bottle of it. I really want to try PHI Une rose de kandahar- what are your thoughts on it? Sadly I have not tried the Chloe, sound like one I would have enjoyed though!
For me Phi is a sweet yet earthy rose scent. It's on the dense Tauer base. It isn't sweet in a jammy way. It is a fall/winter scent for me but, even then, I have to be in the mood to wear it. One of the reasons I enjoy your reviews is that your tastes are so varied. You aren't stuck on gourmands or boozy scent and I find that so refreshing. I always look forward to your content. 😊
Thanks for the video Cherie. What a nice way to ease into a rainy Sunday. I am on a low buy this year and even cutting back on samples, but when I learned that indie Scottish brand Jorum Studio just released 4 fragrances, I couldn't resist (fortunately I can get them through Lucky Scent in U.S.). Still yet to receive. Only one I have from Jorum is Carduus which in terms of uniqueness is a 5! Can you get Jorum Studio frags in Australia?
You are the second person in a few days to recommend Jorum, I think I’m going to have to source some samples! They are available here in Australia 🤗 Thanks for being here! X
This video has me so intrigued, especially for Les Indemodables! Currently on a Serge Lutens kick and have re-watched your vids on this house. The notes you describe sounds as if Fille en Aiguille and Ambre Sultan were to have a baby, it would be this scent? 🤗
Thank you! I think that day it was a light smear of Velvet Carnival by Lisa Eldridge with a bit of gloss over the top. It’s much more purple in RL though - my lights have a very warm tone to them
I sampled the Delina Rosé today. That DNA in the musk note seems to carry through all the Delina fragrances. I find it doesn't go off on my skin (thankfully) it must be synthetic. The sweetness in the scent reminds me of honey dew melon. I live in a colder part of Canada near the Rocky Mountains. Hot here is two weeks a year ranging into the low 30 deg. C. Which usually occurs late July into the first week of August. I just got into fragrance reviews recently and I am enjoying your thoughts on fragrance. Thanks for keeping things real! - Jenn
Love your hair Cherie gorgeous! I'm wondering if you will honour your no buy for the whole year! I said no buy for a month and have caved in already ..... hopefully you have more willpower loving your snippets👍👍👌
43:13 - I should clarify that there is sweetness but its subtle and it’s not what I would classify as a “sweet fragrance”

I loved it too! Linda was pure delight! X
I really enjoy your long videos! It’s fun to watch while getting ready for my day.
Thanks! That’s how I like to enjoy other peoples long ones too :)

Love the enjoyment ratings Cherie! ⭐ Likely to change over time, but I feel it's definitely the most important factor for me.

Yet to try any Andy Tauer but already respect the brand and the creator so much. Need to get a discovery set soon :)

You really sold me on that Les indemodables sample. It’s winter here all the time. 😂
Haha it would be great for the weather you’re having right now, I’m sure!

Love the ratings system and your justifications/descriptions for the rating. Lippy is looking gorgeous - may I ask what it is?

Maison Matine's was one of my favourite discovery sets I tried last year
They are really great aren’t they?! I love them for our weather over here, especially in summer.
@@TheTopNote definitely! I bought a full bottle of Lost in Translation last year. A great price point too!

My son tells me Delina Rosé reminds him of rose and watermelon in the dry down.
Thanks for being here! Yes I can see how you and your son get that, it’s the watery/aquatic elements I think :) so glad to have you here!
That’s a great description actually!

Thanks! 💗 I’ve had some very trying moments for sure! But I’m holding fast for the moment 😉
Thanks!
😍
I won't wear samples during holidays beacsue then I HAVE TO have a bottle due to strong memories attached 🤭
Haha thats fair enough! 💕
