Thank you so much for this video I just purchased 6 of these and 6 nonworking warmers was going to return everything but now I'll keep the scents and thanks for showing how easy it is to pull the sponge out.
LOVE this idea!!!! I can't wait to try it! I stopped buying wallflowers because the burners would go out so quickly! And NOW, the oils have been discontinued!! Thanks so much for posting this great alternative!
OMG!!!! I had so many from some years back and was about to buy the plug ins but I now can use them like oils in my oil burner.. You see it's people like you that TEACHES people like me.. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH.. If you were here I would give you a big bear hug..lol
This is the BEST ever!!! Now if I can find an electric oil warmer like that. Love tealights, just go through them like crazy. I tried it after watching your video last week. I'm in love. So glad the wallflowers have the flat bottoms now too.
Your video makes this process easier than I expected. I just opened my first wallflower bulb, no mess, super easy. Thank you! I did purchase amber bottles to empty the oil into after the bulb was opened and it makes it easier to dispense the oils. The tag fits nicely around the neck, too. I only thing I would point out is how fast the oils burn off. The second time I tried the wallflower oil, I added a little water into my burner, which slowed down the evaporation. Because they are so thin, I think there's little danger of "popping" when heated with water.
another good idea would be to reuse the candle jars.. fill them with some decorative filler beads/rocks and bury the bulbs in there a bit so they're always upright!
OMG! savior! i'm about to dispose of my wallflower bulbs because the plug won't work on my electric outlet.. now, my purchase won't be a waste.. thank you!
What a neat idea! Bath and Body Works has discontinued the home fragrance oil, but this would be a good replacement. I'd buy a few amber bottles(with dropper) to store the oil after opening the wallflower . . . would make it easier to put the oil in a burner.
When they have them 6 for $24, each one after that will ring up $4 each (instead of the usual $6) So your total would come up to $32 if you added 2 extra giving you your 8 bulbs. Then use your survey coupon taking off the $10 and that leaves you with the $22! (Plus tax of course)
I'm so glad that I found this video because it looks like BBW has pulled all its oils from the website. Not sure if they are discontinuing the line or what, but I was freaking out to think I'd never be able to get those scented home fragrances anymore. Now I know it's not a problem and - even better - I know I can get a wide variety of wallflower scents for my warmer. Awesome tip.
I was using the oils from the wallflower refills, but for some reason I was doing it the hard way. I was pulling the plastic plunger type cap out. This is so much easier!! Thanks.
Been wanting to figure out how to use my oil burners (since the oils got discontinued). Had to resort to Walmart oils and they smell horrible! Gonna try it tonight with my Wallflowers! Thanks for this post!
I'm so glad you made this video because I was just thinking of doing the same thing, but wasn't sure exactly how. I have tons of wallflower refills, but I get frustrated because it seems I keep having to buy more and more plugins because they burn out fast. So glad I can still continue to purchase the refills, but burn them in my warmer instead. :)
Ahhh man i just discovered this video! Clever! Would never have thought of this either but thanks for sharing this is awesome! Oh new subbie by the way :-) Love your videos
Even though this is an older post, I wanted to say glad I found this video, I also tried taking the plastic plug off instead of pulling the wick. I'm going to mix it with diffuser oil to make it thicker and most likely it will last longer. Thanks for the tutorial! ☺
I had an idea like this actually a few days ago but never executed it, then I was searching BBW hauls, which led me to this video, and now I am DEFINITELY doing this!
+Corie Hood Hey there, Corie! Since you work at BBW I'm just wondering, do you think I can use the discontinued oils mixed with purified water as a room spray? Mix those into a spritzer bottle and spray my room with it. Thanks in advance :)
+Junior Casemiro I wouldn't do that. I've worked at BBW off and on over the years and if there is one thing I can tell you is that the oils will stain and ruin what they tough. They are not designed to be used in that manner and I'd hate for you to ruin something and it not even work.
+Stephanie Tingle Oh, thank you very much, Stephanie! I'm obsessed with BBW's Mahogany Teakwood scent and I would love to make a room spray/linen freshener with the oil, I was already looking on eBay for them! Yikes, I would be pissed if I stained my linen LOL
@@juniorcasemiro leave it to me to be late to the party, lol, but Wal-Mart sells a Mahogany fragrance oil for only $2. Maybe if you mixed it into [cheapest] vodka, you could turn it into a room spray. Just a thought!
Thank you SO much for posting this....I'm so excited to try this already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best idea ever, especially since I absolutely L-O-V-E wall flowers, now I can burn them in my burner, I didn't know if it was possible. Thanks again for this video!
thanks sooooooooooooo very much for this idea!!! I love oils from yankeecandle and bath and bodyworks (even though bath and body doesn't sell them anymore) but I'm always at the Yankee store buying their oils and candles! I'm going tomorrow to buy those plug ins!!! omg I can't wait! !!! and I have a coupon! !!! you just made my day! !!! muchas gracias!!! 🌷🌺🌹🌸🌻
I just bought the wallflowers and was having major difficulty opening the bottles to use them as oils, which was my intention all along! (In fact, a BBW salesperson recommended going this route after I learned that the oils were discontinued). Thanks so much for this video; worked like a charm! :)
You can store them in an egg crate and keep the tag on or taped to the top of the crate like they do with a box of chocolates. BBW use to sell decorate crates as gift boxes for them.
This is great because you also save money buying the wallflower plugs! They only last a couple months then I have to buy a new one. Such a waste of money. I can't wait to try this!
Can you pour into a water diffuser? I can't find any electric oil burners in Paris. But there are hundreds of diffuser/humidifiers. I tried to plug my wallflowers into converters but they don't work.
This is awesome. I bought a BUNCH of Wallflower bulbs during the SAS this year but the wallflower plug in's keep crapping out on me. Now I have an alternative. Thank you!
Just came across your video while I was searching on how to fragrance my home. I love BBW but it can get a bit expensive. Love this tip! I can't wait to get a warmer and try this technique. I love the candles but it can't still get a bit expensive even on their sales. Maybe this might solve my dilemma.
Thanks for making the video -- I was going crazy trying to figure out how to get the oil out.... THANKS! again. What I wanted to know is where did you buy your little warmer?
can you use those wallflower oils in a wax warmer? i have 2 of them and a bunch of wallflowers. i love the scents of the wallflowers but i dont like the plug ins. they dont last very long at all and im tired of wasting money on them.
I figured something like this could be done since people are suing for wallflowers nearly burning down homes, and burning down homes. YOU NEVER leave the house with these plugged in. I never would. Firemen did say the number one cause of home fires is not cigarettes and cooking, its plugins. Finding an alternative way to use them is safer.
This is ah-ma-zing! I was so disappointed bc I wanted to get Autumn Day in the oil and it doesn't come in that form. But, now YOU'VE provided me with an alternative!! Thanks so much! I can go get the Lavender Vanilla bulb now too ;-)
I love your vid! its very informative. been searching for vids like this since I don't have any wallflower plugs. question.. do you just pour the refill directly to the burner? or you have to take off the white rubber thingy? also, do you mix water to the wallflower refill when using the burner? thanks!
I know this video is old. But when I just did this for the first time, it started to smoke. It still smells good, it's in my kitchen and I can smell it in my living room and up my stairs. But I'm so worried it might catch on fire. I've only had it on for about 30 minutes before I noticed it was smoking. Any ideas?
Hi! :) I just got some wallflowers yesterday at SAS and I'm so excited to try this. I'm planning on using them in my electric essential oil diffuser. I've used Yankee fragrance oils in my diffuser and its worked well so I'm hoping the oil from these wallflowers will work too. Have you ever tried that?
Thank you for making this!! I can't wait to try this. How long can you burn the oil in the ceramic burner? I have a metal one from BBW and it doesn't take llong before they burn out. Thanks so much!!

Kristina Willhelm I have never tried that before. I wouldn't really recommend it because the wicks are held in place by a nail and when pulling that out they aren't going to stay in place anymore. Also I would imagine the wicks aren't designed for a several use option either. I would just use your oils in a burner to be safe.
Good morning! Just a question, do you use the wallflower full strength or do you mix it with a little water in your warmer? Because for the fragrance oils I usually put a little water in my warmer.
Well, they certainly last a lot longer. I have accidentally left an electric burner on when I went to bed (not much oil in it) & when I got up the next morning there was still oil & still strong. I would say deffinately longer than traditional oils. These bad boys are a lot stronger too : )
What happens if you just pour the oil straight into a electric burner plug in that’s for wax . Is it dangerous? I tried it an smelled up my whole room quickly.
I'm not quite sure. They don't post any information on either label about what is in them or anything. They are probably not 100% the same because the oils are thicker than the wallflowers. They can splash around more freely where as you'll notice the oils not so thin. I will look into it though.
The Company says to NOT open wallflowers to use as oils now that oils are discontinued. I would assume this isn't safe although seems like a good idea.

Yayyyy thank you for responding ;)) I saw that you told someone Walmart after I asked and I looked at 50 pages of electric oil warmers and couldn’t find it;( you have a rare oil burner 👍 do you know the name of it ?
Also, I use a tealight oil warmer. Is that going to make it unsafe? I'm so excited since the fall variety is huge with the wallflowers but I'm trying to be cautious before taking advantage of the 6 for $24 sale..
My question is.. Can you bust these open and add the oil into homemade soy candles? I love B&BW candles but I'm tired of paying so much for them plus the paraffin wax is harmful so I'd like to make my own candles.. Hmm, I wonder 🤷♀️
Thanks for the tip! But I have an important safety question for you. I just bought a classic tea light oil warmer (small one for my tiny bedroom) and after about 5 minutes the oil started smoking. Is this normal? Or did I put too much oil in the warmer? Thanks!
Anytime I use my electric burner, I've never had any smoke. Now when I've used the tea light burners I have had a little smoke. It's different because it's essentially cooking it by flame. Some smoke is normal in that kind of burner just never leave it unattended.
Great idea.. I don't know if you've answered this and if you have I apologize for the redundancy but does it burn exactly like the home fragrance .33 oz bottle or doe it burn faster?
Gigi marsanti From my experience it burns exactly the same. Some people pop up with all different things but I've never had it smoke or burn faster. That seems to be the biggest worries. I use my electric burner & they work great & are super strong : ) This video's 3 years old & I still burn them the same.
Is it just me or do the wallflowers not smell the same as the oils? It's almost like there's an alcohol base... I don't know :S but will definitely try this!
I don't use burners at home, but I like to put a few drops of essential oils into my water humidifier/diffuser. Can I do this with the liquid inside the wall flowers (ie pour them into a smaller bottle and use a dropper to add some drops into my water)? Or is the liquid inside not a true essential oil, since I assume it's chemical-based?
Love this. .I store mine in a egg carton. . PERFECT as we use the empty bulbs for cool craft projects. .
Thank you so much for this video I just purchased 6 of these and 6 nonworking warmers was going to return everything but now I'll keep the scents and thanks for showing how easy it is to pull the sponge out.

The reason that wallflowers open and close backwards is due to a child safety feature. I work at BBW.

Oh it is!!
Hi i really wonder if this are safe for long term? doesn't it flammable? can you try the body mist next?
I bet you could store those in egg cartons. Just a thought.
Could you use it in a diffuser and how much water would you put in?

Also, I use a tealight oil warmer. Is that going to make it unsafe? I'm so excited since the fall variety is huge with the wallflowers but I'm trying to be cautious before taking advantage of the 6 for $24 sale..

I use my electric burner & they work great & are super strong : ) This video's 3 years old & I still burn them the same.
where did you get that mixer plug in?
Is it just me or do the wallflowers not smell the same as the oils? It's almost like there's an alcohol base... I don't know :S but will definitely try this!
Have you tried storing them in a egg container, they have some plastic ones at dollar tree
I would say big no, no. These are fragrances oils which are chemical based and plenty of alcohol in them.
Have you ever use them in an oil diffuser
that's what im wondering
I know this is very old but I see you have a little bottle that says coconut water. where did u get that and is that a fragrance oil?
