Ingles, no tengo mucho de haber iniciado, siempre fue una tarea pendiente para mi, pero supe del comprehensible input y dije "ok voy a intentarlo" y la verdad que lo estoy disfrutando, tienes muy buen español con cierto rasgo de España. Saludos

Knowing spanish have advantages for example is easier to learn the other romance languages , portuguese ( is super easy ) italian ( also very easy ) after french , catalan , romanian ( probably the hardest ) etc spanish is like a key to other languages , my advice is first learn languages that you like ( because of the motivation ) and after that learn the languages that you are force to learn , and have fun and enjoy learning .

Tu nivel de español es excelente. Yo estoy aprendiendo chino prácticamente por las mismas razones por las que tú aprendiste español, sobre todo por la parte de los prejuicios. Creo que los medios nos están intentando implantar una imagen totalmente distorsionada de China y me gustaría aprender más de la cultura por otras fuentes que no sean los medios politizados.

Particularmente bien pronunciado, en especial la entonación (nada fácil para hablantes nativos de lenguas tonales como el chino). Otra cosa: hay otro idioma, el portugués, muy parecido al español, de hecho pueden llegar a ser mutuamente comprensibles, que tiene otros 250 millones de hablantes nativos.

¡Felicitaciones! Muy buena pronunciación (las RR te salen muy bien, sabemos que a los asiáticos les cuesta), muy fluido, muy correcto todo (excepto un par de pequeños errores sin importancia en el acuerdo de los adjetivos [en número o género] respecto de los substantivos empleados en la oración). Una cosa que recomiendo siempre a mis clientes es la de aprenderse de memoria algunas canciones que les gusten, para cantar bajo la ducha y así practicar la pronunciación, el ritmo, memorizar vocabulario y, sobre todo, perder el miedo a cometer errores, es normal cometer errores al principio. También grabarse uno mismo en el celular puede ser muy útil para escuchar los errores que uno comete y corregirlos poco a poco.

Estoy feliz que estudies español. 🤗 Mi lengua materna es inglés, hablo español y japonés, un poco mandarín, y aprendo francés ahora. Quiero aprender mucho más idiomas en el futuro porque quiero ser políglota y me encanta estudiar idiomas. 😄 Con cada idioma, aprendo una cosa sobre mi misma, otras culturas, y en mundo en general.

Nice, you got the rhytym and tone in Spanish, I’m starting to learn Chinese and it’s amazing how the sound change the meaning and even characters ufff I want to learn how to read and speak fluently in Chinese do you have any advice?, but congrats it’s time and practice to speak it better.
to be honest, a lot of people of my generation that are born overseas and of chinese ancestry cannot read and write much in Chinese but they can speak the language. So I guess it depends on your goals of learning Chinese. But if you decide that reading and writing are important, i have a weird tip as a student in East Asian Studies. Chinese script came from images of real-life objects, so maybe looking up how the chinese characters were created would help. They were oracle bones.
Empecé a aprender Chino hace un tiempo por esta misma razón, cuando se sabe ingles tienes una cantidad infinita de recursos. Me sorprende como tienes un acento casi perfecto en Español e inglés.

la verdad es que cuando empecé, mi profesor hablaba con un acento de España y luego tenía una profesora con un acento mexicano. Ahora hablo con mucha gente latino, así que mi acento es como una mezcla...

Para lo básico, usaba el libro Beginning Spanish Grammar por McGraw Hill Education. Es útil para alguien aprendiendo español a través de inglés.
Para gramática más avanzada, como el subjuntivo, veo muchos videos por RUclips y memorizo estructuras y frases en el contexto. Ojalá que sea útil para ti.

mine was helpful because they were intensive and happened every day. but also i took the chance to practice and took the elective seriously (obviously i did not have to)
@traceylan Nice. Thanks for the response. I have mine coming up soon as an elective. I guess I'll take it seriously then. Off topic: I'm into watching UFC fights and I was absolutely blown away about the fact that one of my favorite fighters,( Charles Oliviera, from Brazil,who speaks Portuguese) was having a fluent conversation with a Mexican woman interviewer speaking Spanish. I had no idea how similar these languages were! I was absolutely amazed. Anyways, thanks for the advice @tracylan.

@summerwinter89 Yeah, I definitely think french is a little bit more difficult to start than spanish, but having the spanish knowledge really helps my learning french which was a short lived endeavor
