Priority target is such an underrated old skill. I used PT on basically all of my ships before commander rework. Now that it's a 2 pt skill it competes with turret rotation skill but I still use PT now and then
Well if u alrd play the game long enough, u alrd build situational awareness as a soft skill. Like trenlass said, u just need to see the minimap, and have a rough estimation of what the enemy are gonna doing
adrenaline rush being mandatory shows poor commander skill tree design. if the other skills are so bad by comparison that adrenaline rush is always taken, that means the other 3-point skills need to be buffed
LOL… incoming fire alert is the first skill I choose on every single captain. I have about 5 years of experience in the game, and do pretty well. It helps in every single battle, regardless of class. There are a few uber unmaneuverable where it doesn’t help react much, but everywhere else it’s a huge win, especially for only 1 point.
I take IFHE on my WV44 for ranked only because it makes the secondaries pen pretty much any part of enemy ships at that tier. For ranked this boosted my secondary effective DPM significantly, especially when facing other WV44 or Hyūga b cause it can pen their armor pretty much anywhere.
Does anybody know if WG is planning another free captain re-spec anytime soon? After seeing videos like this, I always want to give my captains a skill tree enema.
id argue BBs shouldnt have access to Concealment skills and upgrades, cause there are BBs with almost as good or better stealth than a lot of Cruisers.....
Super Helpful. Although, you did say GK should be built for main guns, but why? you have horrible gun angles, and that tumor of a superstructure. Just need some guidance, maybe I am doing something wrong here
Because it can tank on medium range quite Well. The bad gun angles are the reason why the gk is in general not really a very good bb. Most gk players go in with secondaries and throw their ship away for barely anything. The secondaries on gk are way weaker then on schliefen.
You need a 14pt captain on every single BB, no matter what. CE and FPE are mandatory. Everyone who disagrees does not have Unicum stats in BBs. Period.
I think it's mainly because he would take ifhe instead and at such a close range you are shooting so much that the fire chance dosnt really matter much. You can spend that point in other things that will help you much more.
I am not Trenlass, but found myself in the same boat (no pun intended) as you. Everyone said to get Ohio, but I like fast firing gameplay more, so I got the Colbert first. I dont think you can go wrong with Vamp 2 if thats the game play you like. Use the Daring as a reference to make sure.
If the anounced CV reworks is implemented, it would probably be. Cause they will remove the engine boost for planes, and there are some CS that improve that, so they will probably change some habilities for CVs. But no one really knows, sure.
God, WoWS captain skills are so trash, but BB skills doubly so. Like, 80% of the skill tree is garbage gimmick. Not sure what WG was thinking. Some of these skills like fire prevention could have their bonuses split and make a new skill which is actually worth it. The fact that adrenaline rush is 3pter is also weird af. Concealment and AR are literally great for every ship because they always give you the bonus. Idk what WG is smoking. Personally I would like to see a large commander skill tree with several "branches" like offense, defense, versatility, etc... with 20 or so skills per branch and maybe like 3-5 levels per each skill. And skills give small incremental bonuses like +2,5% AP dmg on lvl1, then 5% on lvl2 and then on lvl 3 you get like 10% AP dmg but -10% HE dmg or something like that. But WG is too lazy to actually create a valid MMO skill tree because they are busy spamming out copy pastas because they are out of a art department and cant actually create any new interesting content.

Same. It literally gives you situational awareness if the enemy team if focusing your or ignoring you.

with submarine now in the game, I think PT also help you to identify if he is chasing you or not

It's just because the buff works on everything. If it was changed to reduce only main battery reload then it would easily be just a maybe.

U pretty much see the shell coming for u 10 second before if u are not always in binocular mode..

Nothing is planned atm maybe if the Carrier rework ever happens

Would you not recommend Demolition Expert for secondary ships? 1% on 500 hits could be a lot.
He likes building into the main guns even on the secondary BBs, maybe Schlieffen is an exception. That's why he doesn't mention it.
