This game showed a side of Messi that is not often talked about, his humility. When they called him to pick up the trophy as captain, he recognized that Yedlin was the original captain until recently so he gave him the armband and asked for him to come and pick up the trophy. Yedlin was pleasantly surprised by the gesture. Messi is not just the greatest footballer of all time but also one of the most humble super stars ever. That is why all the players he has ever played with love him including great players like Luis Suarez and Neymar. He is a great credit to his parents and his family.

Callender hasn’t been the problem for Miami. Most saves in the league. Their problem has been the injuries to all of their DPs-which kills teams in MLS. The team made the playoffs last year-when they were healthier.

The most goals in finals ever (35) and the most trophies ever (44). We may never see another sportsman at his level ever again 🐐

He chose to join a relatively unknown team in an underdeveloped league, didnt care what the critics said, and immediately made an impact as a player and captain. He is still accepting new challenges and adventures at 36, even though he was contemplating retirement 5 years ago. He is scoring goals like crazy, helping his teammates improve, and loving every minute of it. It's not money or fame that drives him forward, it's passion. A superb role model. What a GOAT.
