Marine Metal Monofilament Cast Net, 3/8" Mesh, 6' Radius Conquer: amzn.to/2jSHIPO Развлечения
My man. Ive been struggling with my cast net for a decade. I just tried this technique and on the first throw it opened perfectly. I did 10 more practice throws and every one opened perfectly. This is a game changer! Thank you!!!
I couldn't believe it myself either. I've tried so many years myself. It nice not to be alone.
6mo be is I'm he 6.

Good for you Chad. Now get out there and catch some bait!!!
Ditto. Thank you!
No you did right first try, then respective failures, 😊
Thank you! Between the lesson, the slow motion release, the under 3 minute video. This is the best video available.
Thank you!
Totaly agree :D
Totally agree. I just bought a net yesterday and watched a quick tutorial, it had 5-6 steps. I was getting something wrong because I was close almost every time. Of course I threw it perfect at the campground yesterday evening before I went out. Hopefully this one will be a winner tonight, I'm sure it will. I'll be back w results tmrw.
No other method I've seen so far comes close to this for simplicity, and it's easy to remember for those of us that don't do it a lot. Thanks John! 😎🍺🍺🍺🍺
By far,the easiest method I've ever been.
My father was a fisherman his whole life and never learned how to throw the net, that's why I became so obsessed to learn different techniques.Thank You!!
You're welcome! It sounds like this technique has worked for a lot of people, so I'm glad I was able to help!
Thank you for not being the longest video on the planet explaining every microscopic fiber on the cast net!
I've seen some pretty complicated techniques, which in actuality makes throwing a cast net even more challenging and intimidating. Yours is by far the simplest and most effective I've seen so far. Kudos to you man!
Hadn't cast a net in a couple years and I needed a refresher course. Tried your way and got it the first try after trying a few other ways. Thanks man .
I'm already very very good in cast net throwing , with many throwing ways , after 8 years devouring ALL vidéos on RUclips .
I finally decided to try this throw and , I'm not worry at all !!
I succed to throw my 9 feet this way ,
it's too much easy , very fast , powerful , and beautiful ...
Your vidéo is a gift !! 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Got it on the second try and had it completely circular by the 5th. This method is FAR easier than methods others are trying to teach. Best tutorial on RUclips!!! Thanks a million.
+squaregrouperx thanks!
I've always thrown my cast net a certain way, the way father taught me. I'm a 46 year old man and i found out that your way is much easier, I'm now showing my boys this technique. Thanks for sharing...
You’re welcome. I’m glad you found it useful!
This is great! Took me about 10 practice throws to figure it out on distance without pulling the net closed. Thanks for making a direct and to the point video!
Great video! The delayed release with left is the secret. Best net throw vid period and dude I have watched most of them. Almost letting the net pull itself out of the left was the game changer! Thanks man!
Thank you so much. We’ve been trying to use the net for years and never mastered the technique. We did it on the first try!!
Like others have said on here, you went straight to the point, showed us the way in a couple of minutes, well done. Tomorrow morning, those little fish are mine
That is the cleanest and most easy way I have ever seen anyone throw a net.
How does this video have 93k views and only 790 likes this is for sure the best tutorial on the internet. Thank you for the help!
+Samuel C lol beats me. Thanks for the compliment!
A year really made a difference woah
Thanks you made it look easy and after watching your video it was!
Zach Grinnell year later at 17k lol
At this time it has over a million lol
Thank you so much man. You've helped me tremendously. I was doing a ballerina maneuver for years and could never get it right. Now I'm the mullet reaper! 😂
Awesome simple instructions. My family runs a shrimp farm and your video just upped my cred with my people. No more pulling guys aside to cast for me. (Their method is draping the lead line over the strong shoulder and leading with that, could never get it) When they asked me who taught me I said: "This guy from America." Aint technology grand.
Yep, I know which method you’re talking about, I can’t do it that way either. Lol. It IS grand! Thanks for the compliment!
I was waiting for you to catch the dog lol
Lol I think he knew what was coming!
GET THE DOGGGG
I've watched all the how to videos and you have taken the Blue Ribbon, Thank You.
Me too
Me too....! Lol. I caught a friend of mine in my cast net and she was NOT impressed.! Lol
Thanks my man! Works great! Video is 8yrs old and people are still getting good out of it!!
You're welcome! I'm glad it's still helping ppl.
Going to give it a throw this spring. Got this video saved. Thanks for posting. And everything's better with a dog in the background!
Thanks for watching and I hope it helps! Haha it always is!
by far the easiest way I've seen thanks
+Milton Hyatt you're welcome !
Very skillful mate
John Frederick dude I can’t do it for some reason no matter how many times I’ve tried
Same!!!!
Just purchased my net today and will go out and practice before me and the family go up to the lake at the end of July. Thanks John
Dude, thank you so much for this video! I've watched tons of other vids and they are never as clear and simple as this and I got a perfect throw the first time I tried and consistently ever since. Thanks a lot!
Saw this video years ago, helped me a lot with throwing great casts. Forgot how to do it and looked up a video on how to throw and this video came up again! Thank you!
I think it's almost 6 or 7 years old now! You're welcome!
Thanks fpr keeping it super simple and succinct. So many videos over-explain the process. Yours is clear and to the point and the slow-motion on the release is a definite help. I've been throwing pancakes all day and bringing in free bait all day thanks to your video guide. Thanks for making such a great video!
Awesome 👌 Glad I could help!
I have watched more tutorials on throwing a cast net than I can count and yours is the FIRST ONE that says it's the "easy way" and actually is.
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching sir!
Yet again I've just shared this video to a friend learning to throw a cast net. I've helped soooo many by sharing this video ❤ This video changed the game for me and got me noticed by some pretty well known people in the fishing world and I want to thank you again for that!
That's awesome to hear! You're welcome!
I tried every technique on RUclips and this was the easiest to learn and throw, in fact the only one I was completely successful with. Thank you.
The easiest method for sure and it works, two weeks ago didn’t know how to throw a cast net and now killing it! Thanks from Townsville, Australia!
Dude that was BEAST!! In slow motion you look like Jordan hitting that shot at the buzzer!!
Thanks for this. Watched the video twice and then took my cast net to the park. After the second try I was throwing pancakes every time.
Awesome!! Glad it helped!
hi john, just got my first casting 9ft casting net yesterday.thanks for your video.simple and easy to understand.cant wait till tmrow to try your style.thanks bro.
Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate this - it is appreciated!!
That's my exact method on the smaller diameter nets. Nicely done!
I've tried many techniques but this is the best I have found so far. The key is holding the weight in your left hand until it pulls out. I can now throw short and long. Thanks bro and I pray many blessings to you and your family
I have watched video after video for years trying to learn a technique on how to cast a net. This video was very informative and easy to follow instructions. I appreciate you taking the time out to make it and I have the method down after 20 mins of continuous practice in my back yard minus the dog, lol. Thank you again.
best no nonsense tip!!!! I could never could get it right with all these "captains" grab it here, fold it there, put this in your teeth and tuck and spin and then it opens ...Thank you John!
David Erickson lololololll. Your comment made my morning. I’ve had the same crazy advise. Haha
This guy is the best at this. I've watched a lot of people doing this. He is the best by far.
i've been pissing around for an hour trying to figure this out, came in and watched your video and first throw nailed it, thank you sir
You're welcome. Glad it helped you out!
You’re the man! That choking up 1/3 and putting everything but the one end in one hand is so much easier. I’ve been holding it over shoulder and mouth and I suck. Feel like pro now with this method
Niiiice!
This helps a lot! Thank you!. Never have been to good at throwing a net but I'm gonna try it this way. This was short and to the point.
Hope it helps! Thanks for watching
@@Johnsplots what net size are you throwing ?
6 foot
@@Johnsplots thank you
you explained it in the most easy and simple way thanks bro..
+Eddie Montemayor you're welcome!
Eddie Montemayor good video, best I have seen.
Excellent simple technique - I've struggled a lot with throwing a cast net and can't wait to try this soon.
I’m a 39 yo that taught my self when I was about 12. I had perfect throws about 80 percent of the time. Changing to your technique I haven’t had one folded net since. First cast trying your way I caught at least 50 shad. Thanks for the help.
Nice!
I watched a bunch of these today over the shoulder ones and in the mouth ones. This is the easiest and best way . I practiced 15 min and now I look like I know what I'm doing. You explained this the best. I wish I wold of seen your video a hour ago.
Thank You Sir.
+Steve Barbosa glad I was able to help! Thanks for watching!
This is what the internet was designed for...great video man
I lived on Lake Tawakoni, Texas for 17 years and use to cast for shad from the shore and boat and was quite an expert at it. It's been about 30 years since I'd done this....can't believe I forgot how. I'm back on Tawakoni now....retired.
Thanks so much for bringing it back to me.
Have a blessed day!!!......Bob
Enjoy the retirement 😎 thanks for watching!
The absolute best and easiest way! Great technique!
great video thanks! very helpful for newbies like me.
Glad it helped!
I threw my first cast today using this video landed 4 baitfish when I was just practicing the throw. It was perfect. After the first one I couldn’t throw it right to save my life. There was a giant school in front of me and I couldn’t catch a single fish lol
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
🤭🤭
👍👍🌹🌹
Thanks man! Awesome explanation! There are bunch of videos on this topic but most of the authors spend first 30% showing off. Yours is straight to the point. Really appreciate it!
Yes sir. Thanks for watching!
It was so helpful... I'm new to net fish fishing and everything I've seen on it looks so complicated. You made it look so much easier... Thanks for the help
Thank you very much again and again for your quick and easy tutorial
You’re welcome!!!!
fast & to the point ! I've watch a bunch of videos & this is one of the best. Thanks
Agreed. One guy is draping it over his shoulder and then five more moves. (Same guy that came up with the reboot for the smart bulb - and then 2 seconds. )
I concur 👌🏽
Thank you! I used throw a cast net when I was young all the time. Been so long that I had forgotten. This is exactly how I learned decades ago. All these other dudes sticking lead in their mouth and making it much harder than it needs to be. Thanks again! Awesome.
It really is a simple method! Glad it helped! Have fun!!
By far the best video that actually explains step by step , I will be trying that out tonight. going to screen record in case I don’t get it right . Thanks !
I’ve been throw a net the wrong way since I was a kid. Thanks for sharing this.
“Here! Take my strong hand!!”
Watched this video 20 minutes before we got to the beach to fish and never used a cast net before. Ended up catching over 400 finger/large mullet this past weekend with our cast net and got into a school of blue smashing mullet ever time we threw one out. Thanks for helping us have a great fishing trip!!
Thats awesome!! 6' net?
Best technique I have seen. Your video is also the best I have seen. Very good description, and none of the over the shoulder, over the knee, in the mouth, or anything else weird.
You were throwing perfect pancake and made it look so easy.
Thank you for showing us how to do it.
Regards
Thanks!! Glad it was helpful!
seen them all your way seems real easy ..goin to give it a try thanks for the post
+Arthur DiMella you're welcome, let me know how it goes.
John Frederick goodwell thanks
best cast video EVER thank you very much !!
+Moses Williams you're welcome
Thanks
Been trying to do this for years and your technique worked.
I did exactly what you said and got it perfect the first time. WOW. I've tried others ways and quit. Thanks for making it so easy.
My dog has gone crazy TOO since I learn how to cast a cast net ! Thank YOU ! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I am so glad to see this. This looks easy, I’m glad you show the top. But can you tell what is net size for catching fish the size of your thumb or may be shard size?
Have watched several videos about net casting. Went out and bought a 7 footer today. Your video is the easiest to follow. I’m still only getting about half of it to open. I need to practice a lot! Almost wish I bought a 6footer. At 66 I’m not as strong as I once was.
I will have to say that this is the best tutorial. Going straight to the point.
That’s exactly the way I throw. Tried every way I could think of and couldn’t get it to spread.
Just got lucky one day.
Main thing is to get the line closest to you and make sure it’s not tangled.
Thanks, smart minds think alike! Lol
Yep, nothing can be tangled or it won’t work at all!
Im heading for the back yard to throw out the cast net. Thanks for the simple instructions
Good luck! Have fun!!
Simple and succinct, clear and easy to follow and the slow mo repeat helped me see the mechanics of how the toss works to spread the net
I'm 63 and I've never thrown one before. You made it look simple enough for this old man to understand! Thanks!
You’re welcome. Glad it was helpful!
Damn man. Thank you. Now I don't look like an idiot throwing a folded net.
Same 💀💀💀
😂😂😂😂
Now you look like a idiot just walking
I hope you feel better now that you said that.
even the fish were laughing at me lol
Thanks that helped a lot !!!
You’re welcome!
John, this is a great video. Quick to the point and easy to understand. Too many tutorials on RUclips are entirely too long and mostly fluff that ostensibly makes the guy in front of the camera feel important. No fluff here! Thank you!
I appreciate that!
Finally someone who makes it clear...Thanx bro👍
Yes sir. You're welcome.
A++ Thanks went to the harbor and caught 6 small mullet the second cast...
+Allen Bealle awesome!!
From idiot not being able to throw it to save my life I am now a pro!
Man this is awesome, I had got good with a net years ago and just recently got back into it only to realize I was doing something wrong and now I see what it was. Thank you so much
Great! I'm glad it helped
I have fished saltwater in NJ most of my life, never used a cast net. Moved to Florida, everyone uses cast nets. Bought one, watched this video twice, perfect throws every time. Hell yea. Perfect instructional video.
Awesome!
Love this technique, way easier
+oakland002 it is!
This video is insanely simple and taught me how to not look like a dummy with a net
Haha thanks!! Glad it helped
I'm going to Bass Pro tomorrow and buy one. This will come in handy from time to time, or if a hurricane knocks power out for an extended period of time. Thank you so much.
I've had a net for 10 years. I get it out once in a while and get frustrated because I can't throw it and put it away. Followed your instructions and nailed it! thank you.
Thanks for that. In Mexico trying to prove to my host and friend that his Tilapia pond needs to produce a meal or two every now and then.
Thanks!
Thank you dude. When my dad was teaching me it was so hard that my net literally flew out of my arm and it got lost in the sea. Thanks man this is going to be very helpful.
Glad it was helpful. Good luck with the next one!!!
Yea my dad was a asshoe to.. thanks For the lesson on my way fishing and I like to throw the net all around while I wait for the fish to bite I use shad our cut bait and worms that's my number one choice
John Frederick you need to make a video where you have that net full of different kinds of fish to be considered good tho.. I have catched big fish with my net even tho Im not the best at casting it
Going fishing in 2 weeks searched how to cast a castnet found this video so simple an mate will practice every afternoon till deeday. nailed it 1st go after watching. So thanks very much
This is the way my dad taught me but I forgot how to do it as it has been a few years. Thanks for the refresher!
You're welcome!
Do cast nets function well in rivers?
not a good idea...
2019....damn bro u made it look so easy...I ll definitely try it out...
Thanks John. I watched a lot of other videos and could never get it. Perfect throw the first time with your method.
Awesome! I’m glad it worked! Thanks for the comment!
The easiest I've seen and the most easy to understand! worked like a charm for us, Thank you!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
"Let Me Use My Strong Hand"
Robert Weir Jr Lol glad I’m not the only one to notice that !
thanks..ver helpful..
You're welcome!
This is easily the best and easiest method I’ve used I couldn’t get if for a whole day and I’ve used your method about 10 times and haven’t failed a single time
So much simpler than what I have been trying! Thank you!
Now I can catch more than 2 fish
Big balls
With just a little practice I had this down. By far the easiest way I've seen...thanks for sharing!
I’ve never thrown a cast net before watching this and nailed it after one failed attempt. Worked like a charm after that, good stuff👍🏼
Nice!
Dog wants to fight. I think he might lose.
Man with net Vs. Dog
