In honestly, Lego's "Hogwarts Express" set is a joke. The station in the set is pretty good, but the actual train stuff is pretty terrible. It's like trying to compare the Hogwarts Express set to something like the Emerald Night or the Crocodile. Even both those sets didn't have nearly as many cut corners. In my eyes, the connecting rods for the Hogwarts Express is awful and lazy. The back 4 drivers aren't even connected to the front 2 drivers, and the moving rod doesn't even function by interacting with the cylinders. Instead the crosshead runs into a single cylinder stroke that spins. That's just disappointing. Well, I guess this is what fan creators are for: to clean up and fix Lego's poor looking and functioning sets or create models that were never even a set.
