Just got the big boy tub of the GFT Spanish Leather 😀… it might be my new favorite scent!!! Yes it could be my new TOBS Sandalwood version 2.0 because this scent is heavenly and confirms why the English make the best scents. To be able to walk in a brick and mortar and buy this is truly a gift. Be thankful people of England you are blessed with the Mecca of the shave world
Years ago, as a new PaulHFilms subscriber, I soon found myself stockpiling new shave products. I didn't realize how out of control it was until my wife found the 200 empty Amazon boxes in the garage! Lol....I blamed it on you...all is well....be careful if you come to America...she holds grudges...lol

Used my Merkur 34C this morning. One of my daily drivers. Treet platinum blade. Used Arko for the very first time! How slick! Stinks of citronella mind you but not so bad. Followed with Nivea 2 phase aftershave/balm combo. 👍🙏🏼💈
Good evening Paul! I am very pleased to see the roses...thank you Mrs. H!! I never tried the Merkur 34C razor, having decided to purchase the EJ DE89. My inner voice said they are too similar to have both...perhaps I am mistaken? The Geo. Trumper Spanish Leather cream I would like and it seems to do a good job. Your enthusiasm sells it to be honest. My brother does a catering service for the local firefighter's club in my hometown. He has a smoker and does sausage, brisket, pork shoulder, and other select meats and cuts. It is always fantastic. I believe he uses different woods depending on the flavor desired. I know the wood he never uses...pine...unless you want tar flavor. Apple, cherry, maple, hickory, mesquite, oak, or a blend of these to customize is what he says. That is a lovely shave, Paul. I wonder if the matching Geo. Trumpers Spanish Leather aftershave would be as good as the Imperial Leather aftershave? Please stay safe and healthy!

Cracking shave Paul, old British products just aren't seen much anymore, which is a terrible shame. I was planning on getting the barby out yesterday (Tuesday) but the weather wasn't too clever in Glasgow. So it was sparked up today, I'm the same as you, got a cheap bucket one from B&M. Does the job and doesn't cost much to buy new coals. Stay safe and take care 👍🏻

34c is one of my favourite razors. I was saving for a feather as d2 with stand but that’s on hold now because of the shutdown.
That is a fantastic razor ! Buy it when you can, although I wouldn’t buy the stand which is quiet expensive .
Vigilius Londinium I got my ASD2 online for a huge markdown. Just start watching. With the stand, I paid $120 (tax and shipping incl.). I must say it is my favorite razor. Worth it for what I paid. Good luck! Just start monitoring them online until you locate one for the right price.
Just bought executive men shaving soap and after splash by stirling soap co. Wow the smell is so good!

Stirling is one of my favorite soap companies. I've got over 20 of their soaps 😆
You should also try Sharp-dressed Man by Stirling. That Rod Lovan really makes some GREAT soaps! I love Stirling.

I’m fully agree with your sentiment about shaving.
My shaves are doing well I shave twice a week on Tuesday and Friday, for todays shave I tried out Gillette pure shaving cream which I got in a recent supermarket haul. I was pleasantly surprised with the scent. I’ll use a Palmolive cream (which I also got in that haul on Friday and am excited for the creams performance and scent.
I’ve got one blade atm a Wilkinson sword and am eagerly awaiting delivery Astra SP’s which I purchased on Friday and Proraso Red soap. I have one Razor a wahl brand closed comb stainless Safety Razor and the Proraso green line which I love.

Paul treated my self to the oneblade razor the hybrid, great shave, using proraso Pre shave cream, and good fellows lemon and mint soap brilliant combo
i found that a moisturizing cream is better than any balm
i use it regularly after an alcohol based aftershave
In this case I think it's worth making a distinction between the cream and the soap.
They may have changed the soap base since I tried it (and I think I remember vaguely Paul H using the soap, and I know that IAMCDB on his iLather channel complained about the Eucris soap) but it lathered up and then disappeared, almost before you got to put a razor to it.
The creams on the orher hand are excellent
You can get the same effect with your little grill as we do with our smokers. Get some hard wood chips (No pine) and soak them and the place them on the coals and put the lid on. You have to tend it for hours but it’s the same effect 🙂

Geo. F. Trumper’s Spanish leather is definitely one of my favorite scents. I had a great shave with my Super Speed my wife bought me and Catie’s Bubbles Irish Coffee.
Paul, you are just the tonic we all need in these strange times, love the video, and Mrs H is back with those lovely flowers . . . Bought the Spanish Leather after you used it a while ago, will use it tomorrow together with my Merkur 34c, remember the Imperial Leather from years ago, used to get in in a gift set with a flannel and soap !. appreciate your efforts as a key worker/postie, take care . . .

Great shave again Paul. The Merkur 34C was my 1st razor as well when I started Wet shaving about 6 years ago, mine has a small misalignment issue so I need to fiddle the blade and plate to get correct alignment but I successfully shaved with it for quite awhile before acquiring another razor. I also have a Muhle R89 (basically the same as an EJ89) which is much better made with no alignment issues. I find Geo.F.Trumper gear not good value (at least in Australia) compared to other brands like Proraso, Taylor or Stirling, whose soaps/creams are just as good. One of the things I'm finding with the CV-19 lockdown is I'm buying more shaving gear online that I don't really need ... LOL ... oh well a man's got to have a hobby...

Love Yaqi brushes. For the price, they are insanely good value for money. I've owned synthetic brushes cost three times the price, and the Yaqi brushes outperform them all. Stay safe!
I shave after every one day. Unfortunately I have to use Wilkinson Sword blades which are made in India, the blades don't last more than two shaves for me, unlike Gillette 7o clocks which are very built well and much smoother than what I have in stock right now.
My grandparents always used Imperial Leather and I grew up hating the smell. Many years later, and working in an industrial environment, I could smell it from other people! Bizarre how that happens when other's obviously love it. The mysteries of the nose🤣

Great shave Paul. Beautiful arrangement Mrs H! It will be wonderful when the world goes back to normal. The 34C is my workhorse razor. I like to use Astra blades in it. I used WSP's Olympus soap tonight. It's a Creed Aventus scented soap. Stay safe my friend.
I use my Gillette black beauty on Sunday, because it’s a great experience. But on Tuesday and Thursday is Gillette cartridge. If I had more time, I’d use the safety razor all the time.

So... did you colour coordinate your shave on purpose or was it accidental? I see a red bowl, red brush, a "red-ish" cream, a "red" blade, and a "red shirt! All you needed to do was paint the handle red on the Merkur 34C (or use a Gillette Red Tip Super Speed)!

Great flowers and a great shave. Just wondering if any folk out there have tried the Merkur 33C? I’m on the hunt for a lighter DE razor to shave my head with. Currently using a DE89 which is good but something lighter would be preferable.

Myeah unfortunately all the cream from GF Trumper contain 2 type of parabens. Shame for a premium brand !
Trumper's is a notch above TOBS as far as lather goes.

Hey Paul, just curious...do you shave ATG on your lower neck? I’ve had issues with irritation on my lower neck when I shave ATG. Do you think I should just stick with shaving WTG in that area?
I do shave ATG on the neck Justin, but maybe if your getting irritation, I would leave it out, until your skin gets used to it, maybe Across the growth
