Oaxaca is very pre-hispanic and hispanic. However, it lacks modernity in their life style. Mexico is the three components: pre-hispanic, hispanic, and modern. Don't get me wrong, I love your videos.
I dint know what you mean by “modern life style” maybe you don’t know where to go for the “life style”. If by modern you mean big buildings, that’s not a “life style”. That’s just buildings (some other big cities also don’t have many modern big buildings but there is plenty to do for fun).

Greg I believe that having these special dishes available from certain regions of Mexico makes Mexico so unique. Tlayudas and mole is Oaxaca, like Tequila is to Jalisco, Like Paletas is Michoacan, like a New York Hotdog is to New York and Cajun is to New Orleans. You can have it anywhere but it's nothing like coming home to that original recipe and indulge in it's mouth watering flavors.
From all the RUclipsrs of travel out there you are my favorites. Great personality always trying everything, always learning. You are a couple of amazing souls. I agree the government has neglected Oaxaca and even excluded it for development, i suspect racism or just plain ineptness on their part.
