If they didn’t know the defect, why were they working on this?
Safer to rent apartments than own houses these days. SMH.
What a broken state, broken laws, broken government. Sad.
You better pay your local bills….. but when we flood your basement that is on you!
So, change the law and change the ones that write them or approve them. 🤬
I hope she has spoken to the Attorney General for her state.
For the mostly elected officials you all should be removed from office, you are there to SERVE your public, you should be held
Accountable, no matter what the lady shouldn’t have paid a penny! To the person who finally spoke up on her behalf make him/her the mayor!
CBS Chicago, This made me laugh so hard, thanks for sharing!
bros bot comments backfired on this one
It's a basement, no wood or drywall and no carpet. Vinyl plank flooring or tile, metal studs and PVC or fiber cemet panels on the wall.
Similar thing happened to us in C-ville but not nearly as devastating. The city was replacing/updating all the sewer/water lines under the one way section on Main St by carpenter park. The street was dug up from sidewalk to sidewalk between Green and the park. Something happened and a pipe broke and it was a freaking gyser blasting our front yard. They had to rip our front yard apart with an excavator. In the process almost knocked over a big pine tree into our house. Whole front yard and half the driveway were completely destroyed. Some water got in the basement but it wasn’t a finished basement thankfully. Just a huge huge mess and the city did absolutely 0 to fix what they destroyed. They didn’t even come back and fill in the holes the put in the front yard. We had to replace the driveway and fix the front yard out of our pockets. We took a bunch of pictures and videos as the gyser was flowing and the workers are digging up the yard and driveway. Went to the city and the wouldn’t help at all. ‘Sorry, unforeseen complications blah blah blah.’ Complication?!? Just come and fill back in the giant holes in my front yard and driveway! All the equipment is still there and will be for weeks as you keep fixing the road/pipes! Nope, they wouldn’t budge an inch…not a single piece of dirt or a single grass seed.
That's terrible. But clean that up before mold forms...which is REALLY expensive to properly clean up.
Great job #2
It's sad that you have to put your personal struggles out there and drag these entities out in front of the public to be put on blast before they'll do what they should have done in the first place
THANK U JESUS🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 JESUS

They are taking a lesson from pass the Buck Biden!
More like slumlord drumpf and kushner
Why does everything have to become a political jab? This exact stuff has been going on for decades… long before Biden or Trump. It literally has nothing to do with the president.
Your ignorance precedes you.
Vote democrat and this is on you
