It will be Tampa. MLB and Rays know it’s best, just look at a map of population areas… it’s common sense. Then, they got flooded with demand for tickets at Steinbrenner and that’s what settled it. Which is why St. Pete hated that they went to play at Steinbrenner.
@@ericedwards3055 What do you mean that doesn't work? Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan was literally on TV 3 days ago saying that the Ybor site is still available for the stadium. It fell through the first time because Sternberg didn't get what he wanted ($$$).
How much is it worth for MLB to kick in some earnest money to either fix the Trop or build a new stadium? Rob Manfred said they want to stay in the market, and one way to put their money where their mouth is would be to kick in some significant bucks to help.
They said the same shit for us in Oakland. Hate to see the same process done twice in playing the another fanbase but Rays fans should proceed with caution. Plan for the worst and hope for the best with this fallout. Best wishes from Oakland.
@@theblackhood4812the NFL, MLB and NBA are not messing around. Pay up for a new stadium or lose your team to another city. Period. Doesn't matter how u feel about billionaires those are the rules
It's horrible because Tampa Bay hasn't done anything to get transportation easier around the 3 counties. Honestly most baseball stadiums take at least 30 min to get to from where most of the people live. This is a lame excuse people use. If you like the Rays you'll take the time to drive there.
the suffering of fans who do not attend games including PLAYOFF games? If the money making portion of fans are watching the games on tv does it matter?
Aside from the Ybor site, I've heard the Bucs need a new stadium soon too, perhaps the Rays should just perchase that Yankee's stadium by the airport and stay there and work a deal with the Bucs and Yanks to build a new sports complex there.
@@ericedwards3055I'm on the taxpayers side when it comes to the Bucs. They paid entirely for the mid 90's stadium. This time the ownership should fix it
Now you know how Arizona Coyotes fans have felt for so many years. And that team is now gone.
Sternberg showing his true colors here

Ok where and don't say ybor because that doesn't work

Saint Sleepersburg is not a place where pro sports can be successful. They don't have the right demographics and the location is horrible to get to.

Is the empty parking lot by the Bucs training facility big enough to put a stadium and use the Bucs parking lot?
It's the site of an old shopping mall. Yes , it is. As is the dilapidated Yankees minor league complex down the street from it.
I would not bring up Rob Manfred at all. Relying on the biggest jackass in sports to fix this situation is not a smart thing to do.

Rays fans don't lose, they never show up to begin with!
Sternberg needs to sell … where is his comment on all this ? This guy has invested nothing in the local area , he needs to take page from Jeff Vinik
They never wanted to remain in St. Pete. Let the crying billionaires go away.
Erase Nashville off the relocation list. 2B football stadium for 2027 is the last public money facility here.
Everyone's at fault.... If Pinellas county would have approved the bonds we'd have a new stadium.
