In actual teaching, with more time than in the video, I'd probably go into more detail about 9th chords, but it depends on the student and where they are up to. For example, strictly, Emi9 shoud have F#, otherwise it has a flat 9. On guitar this is simple - just play the mi9 "shape" and don't worry abot the detail. The finer details would be for a future, slightly more advanced, lesson.
