Audio Upgrade For your VW T6, 6.1 & Crafter.

Such a simple upgrade to the speakers can give so much more pleasure to your journey.
Here we upgrade the speakers on a T6.1 Transporter. We’ve used Alpine Audios direct fit upgrade to the mid range door speakers and the tweeters in the A pillar.
This particular upgrade features the really nice looking brushed aluminium tweeter grill for the A pillar.

On some other videos, some people isolates the doors not just the external panel but in 3 differents layers. Do you think that it is important or your way is enought ?

On the front doors you could add some close foam on top of the sound deadening pads but that’s it. You can’t add too much as the window mechanism will get caught up and potentially jam.
The rest of the van panels would indeed benefit from the three stage insulation but you need to be careful around the lock mechanisms and catches.

@@dcdtransporters I will try to do that operation on my T6.1. Hope it will not be to difficult to dismount the electrical window area from the door... Maybe I can find some information about it !
