    Nice to see some “old school” forehand serves on here, you teach it well. It may be considered old school but I have always used it to good advantage. While I have learned and occasionally use the backhand serve, I have shoulder problems and the backhand serve causes me pain. The forehand is still the best for disguising and fooling opponents and I frequently score 2 or 3 points per game with a good serve. It would also be nice to see a video on body-shot serves (fast and directly at the player) as well as playing fast down the line to a player’s backhand as these options often take the receiving player by surprise (as long as you don’t overuse them).
    The music is quite annoying and while I appreciate it is a personal thing/subjective, I don’t think it’s necessary to have music playing throughout the video, maybe just at the opening and closing sections of the video would work better. Just my opinion and I hope you take it as intended as constructive criticism.

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  3 года назад +1

      Yes i fully agree with u on still using the forehand serve especially with its deceiving factor. With regards to the music we’ve already made adjustments to our newer videos, this one is an old video but still appreciate the concern. Thanks and keep enjoying badminton! 😁🏸

    Thank you mam this was an amazing vid
    I needed to learn this serve as I was only doing backhand service in doubles and singles and i was goot at it, but recently I realized backhand is not enough and I need to learn forehand so my opponents dont get used to my serves
    Once again Thank you :)

      You’re very welcome! Practice the serves more (whether backhand or forehand ) it can be an advantage if your serves are really good! 👍😁🏸

  • @glynhannaford7332
    @glynhannaford7332 3 года назад +2

    Thank you Coach Kennie.
    When I started, I played only singles. My serves were good and came naturally. Then I joined a club and played nothing but doubles/mixed for many years. When I reverted to singles for an occasional game, I had lost the high serve. What had previously been very natural and fluid 20 years earlier, now feels unnatural and mechanical. I find myself using excessive hand/wrist action and either hitting onto the wrong side of the court or out of court, and rarely reaching the back line. This is embarrassing, which makes the shot even harder to get right!!! 😳
    I will try what you teach here and hope to cure this difficulty.
    Best wishes x ♥

      When you do serves you must be within the box of your score (even number score rights side or odd number score left side) do not step on the line as it can be called fault.
      When you serve to the reciever, you can serve to him anywhere within his box😁🏸
