They aren’t too hard to remove, just cut close to the knot of the tinsel and use your fingernail to loosen it from your actual hair. Or you can just let them naturally shed

Once you get the hang of how to tie it’s pretty easy. I always like to slow down the video/pause it while I’m learning something new. But if it’s too complicated I’m sure someone local to you will install for a small fee

How do you take it out if there are so many knots and you don’t want to wait for it to naturally come out? Is it easier than it seems?
If you snip very close to the knots that you have created and use a rat tail comb typical the tinsel will unravel
Does this eventually make the hairs you tie the tinsel onto break because of all the stress of the knot-tying and then brushing afterwards?
I haven’t noticed any breakage

Are you able to style like normal with the tinsel in your hair?
Yes but you want to be careful with heat on the tinsel. If you want it curled I would curl it like a ribbon with scissors
