Thank you for this tutorial. I have watched about 5 others and they are very confusing and difficult to replicate. This one worked. The ribbon example made it the easiest. For the first time today, I was able to put tinsel in my daughter’s hair without using those ugly crush beads. I had a challenge hiding those in my daughter’s thinner hair. As a dad, thank you. This made me feel great about doing this activity with my kiddo and it helped me learn something new to bond with my daughter.
Thank you SO much! I’ve been braiding hair professionally for a really long time, and we offered hair tinsel a few years back when the trend started… I could not get it to stay on, or even manipulate tying it in a knot, so I just stopped offering it altogether. I recently noticed that it’s coming back and was thinking I was going to have to skip it, but thanks to this tutorial I can finally, properly do hair tinsel! 🙏🏼🤩
I just want to say THANK YOU!! All of your videos have helped me through the 5 years of doing hair.. I want you to know that I have watched 4 “tutorials” before I came across yours and COULD NOT get it.. you are awesome at explaining everything!! Thank you for all that you do on here❤️❤️
I’m just seeing this now but thank you so much for the VERY CLEAR tutorial! 🥰 The ribbon really helped! I am gonna do it this weekend. It’s probably not trendy anymore but who caresss
I’ve watched so many tinsel tutorials and this was by far this best explanation. Thank you ! Great job especially with using the ribbon so I could see how to do it with a bigger example.
This was great but when I asked the pros that have been doing this for years, they all say only use 1 single strand of hair bc when you need to get it out and it doesn't slide, which it shouldn't slide out, that you'd end up cutting several hairs instead of one here and there.
Love it Beth!! Very clear and Baylee looks positively buzzing with her new glittery tinsel strands! Awesome job ;-) and well done on the videoing skills Abby xx
Seriously I wish I would have seen this like 30 videos ago 🤦♀️ This is definitely the BEST video to learn how to do this! My daughter is so excited that I am finally able to do them tonight
I've used hair tinsel for a few years now and absolutely love it. I'm a natural redhead so usually put the copper tinsel in my hair which matches really well. Always get compliments on my tinsel and it sometimes stays in for up to 6 weeks :)
@@saltygirl764 yes this is how I've tied them into my hair for years. Definitely the best way to put them in, and if you want them to last when you brush your hair hold your roots to help stop the tinsel brushing out.
@@TheGeordieGinge I have a question since you've used these for a while I have an autistic daughter who does not like going to Salon so I'm going to use this technique but she has natural curly hair , can I curl this with a curling iron to make it look more natural in her hair or will it melt ?
Gaaaaah! I love this so much!! You picked the best color - ALL OF THEM!! I need to do this. I don't care if I have curly hair. I need some fun in my life and THIS IS FUN! And thanks to your genius tutorial I can do this! Thank you! 💖💖💖
BEST VIDEO OY THERE!!!Thank you ladies, using the ribbon is the best ever demonstration (even with my poor eyesight!) Hope that you guys had a wonderful Christmas! xx
Great tutorial. What I loved was, you showed placement pattern. Most other tutorials just show 1 strand placed in hair. You've shown full head placement, Thank you!! 👏
I am new here and I got the hair glitz for my chirsmas gift but the thing this that my mom has done is yesterday on Friday but after that my hair was messy and the hair would fall off and it would really help my mom I well tell my mom to do this tutorial this really helps alot tysm!!!❤❤😊😊
Thank you for making an explanation with something besides tinsel. I was physically not able to follow any tutorials bc they would say what to do, but i could not see what to do since tinsel is so small. This really helped
THANK YOU SSSOOO MUCH FOR SHARING , I have an autistic daughter and she wants her hair done like that so bad and does not like to go to a salon it causes her great anxiety so now I know how to do it for her myself at home , , , so once again THANK YOU 😊
Perfectly displayed. I watched alot. Of video but it was very difficult to see on a tinsel how to knot Love the fact that you used ribbon for better visibility
I saw a couple of other comments about this as well and I saw on one comment that you said they did stay in successfully for awhile so I agree with several that you should definitely do a quick video on how to easily take them out when you take them out of the lovely Bailey's hair. I also wanted to ask you if you happen to see this, I saw where you said you can wash the hair with them in but I was wondering about braiding and such with them in or would that make where you tie the little knots at the roots more visible? And also does washing and/or braiding wrinkle up or crimp up the tinsel to where it doesn't look nice afterwards? This is so beautiful though, I love it and my 5 year old daughter saw it and is wanting some in her hair already lol. She has hair that's now grown to past her bottom since not being able to take her to any place for a trim hese days, and we both love your channel, she loves watching the girls get their hair done and every day I let her choose a hairstyle from the video thumbnails on your page to do on her hair for that day. I'm not always successful in recreating some of the more complicated ones lol but we try anyway! Thanks for keeping going even during lockdown for those of us who look forward to every video you post!
Soooo cute!!!! Bailey’s hair is so so pretty!!! And I love love LOVE that you ladies didn’t do huge chunks of tinsel! It looks so much more ethereal this way!! So fun! Hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas!
I’m 39 and about to do this to my hair. 😂🫶 Thank you for the tutorial. I have beads but I might try this first since it looks like I won’t have to worry about hiding the beads with this method. Great job on her hair, it’s super cute. 💞
I’ve watched like 6 videos. I feel like this is the best one! Thank you for using the ribbon to really show what’s going on! Makes sense! Now to do my 3 daughter’s hair! 😂
This was the best tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you so much I need to practice but I was able to make the Do most of this . Question why do ppl use the little clip thing ?
The ribbon was genius! This way you don't miss any of the steps with such fine strands of tinsel & hair. Is there a reason why you didn't use beads? And you can wash/blowdry as usual?
I wished you would have showed how simple it was to take one out or if you'd figured out a way to maybe pull more than one out at a time. But I do think it's really cute!
Really need an answer to how to take them out too.. Extremely grateful for this tutorial though.. I have been wanting to know how to do tinsel hair for over a year now..
@@chloej5734 yea if you tie it too tight it might rip the one or two piece of hair out but if you tie it not too tight or too loose, it will slide right out
She mentions in the tutorial that they will come out with normal hair fall. It's useful you can brush your hair with them in as you don't brush the very top where the knots are. I would imagine they will have fallen out within 3 weeks, but if you wanted to take them out sooner, it might be difficult unless you massage the knots between your fingers with a little hair oil to ease them apart? Just a thought.
Great video 💟 always a like 👍👍 this is so so so pretty 💜 I love the way this looks 💛 I'd like to get some of those multicolor tensil to put in my daughter's hair and mine 💙💜💚💟💛💙
I was looking around for a hair texturizing “crimper” for some of the more complicated looks you do without much luck. Just found one that was more classic 80’s crimps. Do you have a shop or affiliate for the one you use?
I love all the clever things you do with Bailey's lovely hair, but won't you please also give us ideas how to take them down again? Some of your styles are very complicated and I think we'd all like to know how to comb them out again.
Do you think it would hold up in a braid too? My daughter wants to be a rainbow cat for Halloween and I bought the hair tinsel over a wig but I wanted to do two Dutch braids with it in
I THINK THIS IS BEST TUTORIAL ON HAIR TINSEL BECAUSE SHE WAS EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND I LOVE THE DEMO WITH THE THICK RIBBON. BRILLIANT!
This was the best tutorial! Mine would always fall out because I didn’t do the knots at the end! The ribbon tutorial really helped 😍
I thought the ribbon would be much easier to see than the tiny tinsel ☺️
Absolutely agree that the ribbon display was so helpful... best video for this technique

@Kiran Sarwar you can usually pull/ease them out carefully if there not tied too tightly. Mine sometimes fall out when brushing aswell.
