Interestingly, my first leader game was Gato Leader, which you seem to like the least. Just got it a week ago, and I’m absolutely loving it. Sometimes the events can be kind of rough, as you say, but I feel like that parallels how unforgiving the submarine service was in real life back then, and part of the excitement is overcoming those sudden, unexpected losses with the rest of my fleet to reach victory despite the odds (which I’ve succeeded in more often than not). Having said that, I do also now have B-17 on the way, so that may be an interesting contrast for me.
When using the cannons on the fighter jets, you apply your AtA/AtG mods. And they're a last resort kinda thing, so why wouldn't you, you know? Also, I have WON missions using the cannons. ALSO, also... nice vid. Hornet Leader is my fav' too.
Can you do a playthrough of Tiger Leader? Thanks for the overview vid. What make & model of that organizer is that? Have you lumped everything in that organizer?
eric brooks it has a lot of scenarios and the dogfighting is cool. So for those reasons it has its own special niche. But hung ho makes the game too easy (in my opinion) and I’m more challenged by other leader games. This would be in middle. I like it more than tiger/Sherman leader and more than gato. It doesn’t overtake my big three. Tal, b17, or hornet leader. Same level as iaf for me. Just pick theme. There are things in this I wish were in other games like the aces pack. This game is fun. No doubt about it. Hung ho is just too OP for me.
Phantom or Hornet Leader. Uboat leader if you want subs, or Sherman Leader for ground. (I think all of the ground leader games are more complex than the others). All leader games are a bit overwhelming at first due to the decisions you have to make before a mission even starts. And you have no clue how to make those decisions until you've played a few missions and figured it out.
My first DVG game was/is B17 Leader. I've only run one mission and there is SOOOOO much going on in this game is a bit overwhelming at first. But, I've watched like 3 different playthroughs and that helped a lot. Love this game. Thunderbolt Apache Leader will be my next game, sooner rather than later.
I did the exact same thing starting with B17 and I'm still lost with it making many mistakes I can't keep up and I k ow this is a 2 year old conversation and I probably won't get noticed but hey never hurts to try and ask but I'm trying to learn the game it's going over my head to be fair I'm also learning wargaming as a whole kinda so not helping I guess😂
Keter Cantilever tool box. But for whatever reason they aren't being made any more. This one is similar. www.amazon.com/Olympia-Tools-Cantilever-Organizer-Organization/dp/B09194GPMC/ref=dp_fod_1?pd_rd_i=B09194GPMC&psc=1
3 years after, a 'revisiting' video would be very much appreciate ! All the best, Gilles

Yes, cannons used as last resort. Why not. So sorry for the 2 year delay in response. :)

Robert Yee it’s a keter cantilever toolbox
Still no word about Huey Leader...🙁
Back when DVG did P500s I was on the Huey leader P500 list. At this point, I don't believe they will ever do it.
Where would you put Corsair leader on your list of DVG favorites list?

@@wkutella yeah, you went neck deep with this one. It is definitely the most complex, but also one of the most satisfying for the same reason.

I heard this series was a good place to start so I jumped in and boy did I get burned😢
