I have the original (pulbished by GMT) Hornet LEander and Thunderbolt/Apache Leader games and I love them. I also love the Phantom aircraft and thus have an interest in Vietnam. I am looking forward to buying this game as well as updating the original Leader games. Thank you for the gameplay example!
You might be able to find one online or in a good/dusty game store, but Hornet Leader: Carrier Air Operations is probably a little easier to track down. It essentially plays the same, but the missions take place from 1984-2013. Or there's the latest game, Thunderbolt Apache Leader. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
@callasmar: If you still have U-Boat Leader...try out the (free) tactical expansion on bgg ...the rule are quite complex but it is a really great game then!
Thank you very much. To be honest, I was extremly disappointed by U-Boat Leader. I think the game is simply broken. I know they fixed some of the biggest errors, but even with the "fixed" rules you can find online, I find this game terribly boring and repetitive. It´s sad because I love the theme and the Leader series but here it didn´t work. So after I´ve played two campaigns I`ve traded it away. Hope you´ll enjoy TAL...Greetings :-)
